Really impressed with the quality of this umbrella, especially for the price. The finish looks premium and the materials feel solid and well-made — it gives the patio a much more upscale look. Assembly was surprisingly easy and I was able to put it together by myself without any issues. The instructions were straightforward and everything lined up properly. The included base is also much sturdier than I expected. Once filled and set up, the umbrella feels stable and secure even with some wind. The tilt and rotation features work smoothly and make it easy to adjust shade throughout the day. Overall, this feels like a high-quality product that looks great and performs well. Definitely happy with the purchase.

We wanted a new umbrella since last summer but we finally decided to pull the trigger this year. The was on sale with a small discount so after finding a color we wanted in the size we needed I pulled the trigger. The timing for delivery was a concern as I am schedule to have surgery on the last day it showed for delivery, but I gambled anyway. Delivery was fast! Instead of the 1-6 days, we had it all in 2. I just finished assembling and opening/closing this new Purple Leaf cantilever umbrella. What a nice product! It's substantial, solid, and very well designed to not just look the part of a quality item, but function as one too. I was surprised by the initial weight of the umbrella, which was notably more than the one we were replacing. Assembled it's quite sturdy and raises and lowers much more smoothly and easily than our old one too. No more lock collar to make trying to close it an exercise in frustration -- this one is simple and fast. This is our third umbrella, first one for this brand and my initial impressions are very positive -- very positive! If you need an umbrella with the flexibility to angle it to block the sun you cannot beat a cantilever. Our first was, and so is this. Our second one was not, which is why we came back to this design -- you'll learn fast if it's an important feature and you chose wrongly. From experience I have found this style handles moderate wind better too. Note: do not expect any umbrella to handle winds beyond a gentle light breeze without swaying or pitching back and forth. Though it should seem like common sense, there are people out there who will complain that it flings all over the place when attempting to use it in 35 mph winds. Just know that this may not arrive all on the same day. Yes, it ships in two boxes and only had shown one tracking number with no notation of it being 1 of 2 & 2 of 2 for boxes. My base arrived the next day, and there was no way of knowing if anything else was in shipment -- but it did show up the following morning. It seems well worth the wait too!

We purchased one of these large umbrellas for our pool enclosure because we get a lot of afternoon/evening sun and don’t have many trees due to our view. We wanted something that would help with the sun both in the lanai and in the pool. Spending this much on an umbrella was a little scary especially without seeing it in person, but we priced an installed rollout shade and it was $3500 and wouldn’t cover much of the pool. We took the leap. Once we got the first umbrella up, we were sold and I immediately purchased a second. Most of the sun is kept out of the lanai area now and we can enjoy our evenings outside without baking. We also don’t have to close the curtains on the patio door, just to watch tv. This is very functional and allows us to move it 360 degrees around, angle it up and down, and left to right. It is perfect for our needs. Quality seems very good and it fits well under our pool enclosure. My husband and I put these together very quickly and is not hard with two people. The base comes in two pieces and, even though it is heavy, we are able to move each one as a team. Although the price scared me at first, they are well worth the money.

Great for shade and easy setup but it doesn't block the rain.

We love this umbrella. The seller emailed with all info on when each box would arrive (separate days) so we knew ahead of time. Extremely well made and easy to set up with the base. Ours had a minor bend in one of the bars and the seller immediately shipped us a replacement bar and video on how to replace it. This was our request because we didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning/replacing this very large, heavy item for such a minor fix. We have had the umbrella for a few months now and it is sturdy and beautiful. Also, this is a great seller who communicates fast and quick should you have any issues!

First and foremost the customer service thus far has been exceptional. Purple Leaf has been very helpful and responsive to all queries. The item also shipped and delivered earlier than expected. I’m still waiting to setup the umbrella and from what I can tell the materials are good quality.

We received the umbrella in a badly damaged box and sure enough one of the arms was badly bent. We went through the return process and asked to exchange the defective on for a new one. They sent out the new umbrella and this time the box was not damaged at all. We set the umbrella up and it too had a bent arm. Because the box was undamaged it really seems like they packaged up a defective umbrella and shipped it out anyway. I will be going through the process to get a full refund.
