Over the past year I have bought many variations of these Rock Stock pedal patch cables. The shorter 4 inch ones are perfect for many pedals in a row that have a similar jack set up (pedals with top in/out put or pedals with side to side in/out). It's makes the pedal board so clean and manageable. When you use these as an alternative to longer 1 ft or 3 ft cables you do not have messy cables all over getting tangled or in the way. These are gold plated too which is great for reducing unwanted noise in the signal. Using the shortest cables possible is always a great way to reduce noise especially when your setup has a lot of pedals. As my pedal collection grew and I wanted to leave many pedals hooked up so I could try a variety of combinations of sounds these Rock Stock cables were so convenient. If you are at the end of the row and need to go back to the right side of your board to continue you can get the 18" ones and the flat ribbon style cable is easy to hide or run along between rows of effects pedals. If there is a weird angle you can get a 6" or 12" version. They offer 'C' style cables with the jacks facing the same way or 'S' style with them facing opposite directions. These can solve any cable routing issue you come across. When the input/outputs are in different locations or the height of the pedals differ too much the gold coupler style adapters aren't really an option. These cables are a perfect way to preserve space since the jacks have flat ends on them. This makes it really easy to get a row of pedals really close together. I would highly recommend these both for the quality and the convenience of the design!

These have got to be the smallest and shortest cables I've ever seen! They really helped squeeze evey pedal onto my small pedalboard! no loss of fidelity that I can hear.
