Does this work with the XDM elite magazines?

Yes. I have the XDm Elite competition model and the loader works but how it works is to just push down on an already loaded round allowing you to start the next round into the feed lips. Not sure what the push-button is for. Looks like it would lock onto light rail. But why?

Will this work on the Mod 2 service and sub compact?

This will work but will be large when fitted over the magazines and is not the recommended loader for the XD Mod.2 or Service Models. For the best fit and recommended model of magazine loader for the XD Service and XD Mod.2, use the mag loader specific to your caliber. ALL XD and XD(M) pistols in .45 ACP use model # XD45ACPML. If your XD Service or XD Mod.2 is in 9mm, .40S&W, .357 Sig, or .45 GAP, then use Springfield Mag Loader XD3510ML.
