Great piece of kit
Amazing- makes g5 pro camera have full ai so no need to upgrade to g6. Needs 2 x Ethernet works on switch free or can out inline if only using on one camera.

Strap AI to your old protect cameras
If you have 5 Protect HD cameras or less, this is the device to bring them up on par with 2023-ish AI Image recognition tech.

very easy to set up
Works perfectly with my old axis cameras (apart from audio), the movement and ai detection really works, cars, faces, animals, perfect if you have old but good cameras, right now it supports up to 3 hd third party cameras (depending on resolution)

Solves ONVIF no audio and adds snazzy AI Detections
I have third party ONVIF compatible cameras in UI Protect but the audio was not being recorded until I added this AI-Port. With the AI-Port I also gain ai detections for people, faces, animals, cars, and license plates neatly summarized in UI Protect so that I don't have watch all 24x7 of my video to know what was occuring that matters. You are able to use one AI-Port for a single 4K camera but you can do two 2K cameras with one AI-Port as well. There is one POE Input for your camera and one POE Output to your switch. You do not need to use the POE Input if you don't want to for any of the cameras but it's an effective way to limit port consumption on your switch so it's recommended. It comes with a small clip to secure it in your rack of you can invest in the formal rack tray that holds up to 6 AI-Ports.
