ORCA ORCT040 Cooler with Extendable flex-grip handles for comfortable solo or tandem portage, 40 quart, Tan

This is my second Orca cooler and I am more than pleased with this cooler, the 75 qt is a nice size cooler for a long weekend at the cabin. I found my Orca 58 qt cooler to perform better than the comparable coolers and keep in mind that unlike other cooler manufacturers the Orca is true to size ... meaning the Orca is 75qt inside where it matters. Good coolers are pricey and the Orca products are no exception but you do get your money’s worth in performance, they are made in Tennessee by American’s using USA sourced components. Orca currently has the best warranty in the market place by a long shot.

I quit using cooler years ago because they seemed to be more of a pain than just planning life without them. Now that I'm gluten and dairy free, I wanted more portable options and thought I would try one of these fancy coolers. The price was right the day I bought this one and I am blown away by how cold it keeps things for days!. Even in the hot south I can pack it up. Leave it in the back of my SUV and still have cold stuff all weekend without getting ice. I just have the 6 frozen bottled waters that I started the weekend with now ready to drink. I do cool the cooler down ahead of time when I am at home, per instructions...putting frozen food in overnight and then cooking it to take on the trip.

I looked at the Yeti and Grizzly first in the stores. I paid fifty dollars less for the Orca on Amazon. This is my first high-end cooler, and Orca has a lifetime warranty, period. It is made in the USA. I use 4 Rubbermaid blue ice-weekender ice packs, and it is my experience, it keeps things colder on the average of three days longer than my traditional Coleman Coolers in hot weather, using traditional ice or the blue ice. Be sure to pre-chill the cooler beforehand for maximum ice retention.

There’s not much more to be said about this other then awesome and perfect. We used this product on a 4 day camping trip. The cooler spent most of the time outside in Florida temperature. We had it packed with ice and meats and water. On the third day when I went to pull out the hamburgers I had to let them defrost for a few hours just to cook them. This thing kept ice all four days. When i purchased this I was hoping to never purchase another one ever again and after using this the last couple of trips. This is now our only cooler.

I’m not sure how to rate this. I think it does what it says it’s supposed to do...I think...but I find myself regretting my purchase. I REALLY wanted one of these molded coolers for ages and finally took the plunge, and I’m so not impressed. While everything works as it’s supposed to, I presume, it wasn’t easy for me to get it to stay below 40 degrees (the temp where meat stays safe). Sure, it holds ice longer, but I only experienced about 3 days’ worth. I get when you’re out camping or somewhere that you can’t easily restock ice, but if you’re just driving across country or something, it will take a VERY long time to make up the cost of this cooler vs just buying ice daily. I got the 26, and it’s actually much larger inside than I thought it would be, so that’s something. I would say if you’re on the fence and don’t *need* it, save your money. It’s a quality product and seems very well made, though. It will likely outlive me, although I wonder about the longevity of the rubber gasket and closures.

We used this as a raffle item at our Christmas Party. It was a total hit. Raised a lot of money and the guy that won it hasn't stopped raving about it. As good or better that the Yeti and MADE IN THE USA!!!

First the size and color is perfect for drinks and snacks. I still want to purchase the basket that goes inside it but its kind of pricey. I chose the one with the flexible handles on the side because the cooler stays stationary in my trunk (of my Challenger) and the metal handle that some come with I thought would take up more space than the side handles. It does make it difficult to carry alone if you do not have two hands though because the handles do not come together- length wise - so you are forced to use two hands for carrying. I work at a dusty (sometimes very hot) horse ranch and we always need cold drinks). The ice lasts and lasts, on average 5-7 days in 85 degree weather. My trunk stays cooler than the inside of the car when parked in the heat. I love not having to put out $ to purchase ice daily when I am driving back and forth to the ranch. I was procrastinating on the purchase because of spending the $130.00 but glad I did. I did a ton of research and read tons of consumer reviews on all different comparable brands - even the high end Coleman's just to see what was said by consumers even though they are not anywhere near the Orca/Yeti type cooler. I would have purchased the highly praised Yeti however could not justify spending that kind of cash. Love the Orca. It was shipped directly from Orca very quickly.. again.. this may be girly to say but I Love the color.

Solid, high quality made in America. Love my PINK Orca, this cooler rocks! Keeps ice a long time, works well with both ice and cooler packs.

This cooler is better quality than Yeti. Look for tests on youtube, ORCA beats the Yeti. Ice last forever plus its made in the USA compared to Taïwan (Yeti). I have 3 now and will pay itself just by saving on buying ice during my camping/hunting trips.

Absolutely love the ORCA coolers. My husband was on the fence about purchasing this but after we did we have since bought a smaller ORCA as well as he insisted we have a cooler that performs as well for drinks when we are camping. I can’t rave enough about this cooler.
