Police Officers on Patrol

We love this book! My daughter is 4 and we first discovered this catchy read after we had checked it out at our local library. We loved it so much that when we went back to rent it again and it was nowhere to be found, we bought it! 🙂 Cute story with a catchy line that children will say with you and repeat over and over.. great learning book and the pictures are just as amazing. I am very picky about what books are allowed in my home and this one is a keeper! I definitely recommend it!

I can't fully explain the appeal of this book. I mean the images are fun, the "plot" is reassuring and the characters are appealing. But there is something about this book that specially connects for my 5-year-old son. He checked it out 5 times in 7 weeks from his school library and loved it, so much we bought for him. When he has quiet time in his room, this is usually the book he chooses. He loves it so much he still periodically checks it out from the library!

This book is so cute! My 2 year old loves it, as his daddy is a police officer, and he likes learning about what he does. The pictures are very cute and detailed; every time I read it, I notice something new.

Three police officers save the day - 1. directs traffic when the stop light breaks to prevent accidents and move traffic along, 2, finds a lost child in the park and returns him to his mommy, 3. catches bank robbers carrying off an ATM machine by jumping down on top of them. The book is deigned for very little kids by NOT showing or talking about guns: Even when confronting the bank robbers, no gun is pulled out. The text lists that cops wear a uniform, badge, and radio (no guns are mentioned). The cops are shown to be on foot, driving a police care, and riding a horse. They are shown to be male and female. They are shown to be helpful and kind.

Cute book for my community preschool theme. Great pictures and my students love spotting new things on the pages each time we read it.

Super cute book!! Illustrations are great & cute. Very easy read & I would think a young child learning to read could easily learn with this book and get through the whole thing!

My son is obsessed with police and I have probably read this book every single day wt his request. His first one ripped so we had to buy a replacement because he was devastated.

Few books are in print that teach children about our loyal police officers. This is one of them that I have ordered to educate children that the local police protect and serve children and everyone,. The local police are our friends. Maybe someday because of this book and others like it some children will grow up to serve as local police.

Great for choldren whose patents work for the police

This is one of my son's favourite books. He is now four, but has loved it since he was 3.5, and often refers to himself as Officer Carl now.
