is this compatible with avid media composer?...

No, it supports many others most importantly Resolve. Media composer (which I use everyday) is no longer a good enough color correction tool. I used the Avid panel and it’s horrible. This panel is for you if you are ready to move to the next level. Tangent websites has all the applications you can use this panel with.
