GU10 LED Bulbs, LEDMEI 6 Pack GU10 Led Light Bulbs, 50W Halogen Bulb Equivalent, 120 Volt, 6.5W 550lm, 3000K Warm White, 40° Beam Angle Spotlight, UL Listed, Non-Dimmable

I like everything about them, the color is good, brightness equivalent to the 50W halogens they replaced, the beam is sufficiently wide to light evenly. But I had 2 fail in under 2 years of use. They worked fine for over 18 months, but then failed. It's typical life span is 20 years, as stated on the box. If reliability issues don't go away, it's actually more expensive to use these leds as halogens would be. EDIT: after contacting the seller (which wasn't easy to find on the amazon website), they promptly offered to replace the broken bulbs honoring their 2 year warranty. Changing rating from 3 to 5 stars. I have a big soft spot for sellers standing behind their products, Thanks. UPDATE: they keep failing prematurely, I'm lucky if I get 2 years out of them.

Comparing these to my old halogen bulbs, I'm now saving 261 watts with these new LED bulbs. The old halogens used 50 watts each (multiplied by 6 bulbs) whereas these only use 6.5 watts each, and put out more light. It's hard to believe that I was using 300 watts when I turned on my lights. 4/25/2021: I still love these lights, but two bulbs went out within days of each other. I contacted LEDMEI through Amazon because I was still in the two-year warranty period, and they sent me new bulbs! No trouble whatsoever. I cannot recommend these bulbs and the seller highly enough.

Our kitchen ceiling fixture has 6 of these style bulbs and is used several hours a day. In Dec 2019, I replaced all incandescent 50w bulbs with these 6.5w LEDs. We were and are exceptionally pleased with how much brighter the area is with the 3K warm white bulbs. A few weeks ago, two LEDs failed within days of each other. At about 27 months and about 7000 hours estimated, certainly well short of the 50,000 hours projected life. Closer to the life we were used to with incandescent. There is no dimmer in the circuit and ceiling heat is normal room temp. Failure mode is that they go from very bright to very dim and/or flicker. While inexpensive to replace and likely paid for with power savings, I'm still hoping these were flukes and not the norm.

Love these! As everyone is probably already aware, halogen bulbs give off a lot of heat. There’s almost no heat from these LED lights, just a slight warmth to the the touch vs my old halogen bulbs that would burn to the touch and heat up the room. I’m using the 3000k and they put out a bright, natural warm light. I originally ordered the 4000k but didn’t care for the ultra bright, very cool daylight tone of the lights. I’m new to the LED light temps and should’ve done more research. So if you prefer a bright but soft, more natural look, go with the 3000k, if you’re wanting an ultra bright cool blue/daylight tone, go with the 4000k. These LED GU10 base bulbs are slightly larger than the typical halogen bulb, but the base/prong fit and function is perfect, the little bit of the rim that extends makes them easier to install and remove. Also, in case it’s not mentioned in the product description, I’ll mention here that these are NOT dimmable. And for those, like myself who haven’t changed their bulbs in a long while and forgot how to remove them: gently push inward and turn 90 degrees to the left then pull them out. Overall I’m very happy with these and recommend.

So I can't comment on the lifespan of these bulbs since they just came in today, but they put out a very bright and clean light. A couple of our closets have two of these fixtures. When only one of the lights burned out, I replaced it with one of these LED's. Seeing the light output next to the existing halogen bulb was impressive. 3000k isn't quite as warm or "yellow" as the halogens, but it's definitely not the cold white that some LED's put out. I actually can't wait till the rest of the halogens burn out!

As others have reviewed about the longevity of these bulbs, 3 of the 6 bulbs I purchased in 2021 have now failed. They became very dim and started to flicker. Just ordered a new pack to replace them. These bulbs were used for only 3-4 hours per day and should have lasted over 40 years going by the 50,000 hours rating. Clearly, that’s not been the case…

Plugged right in and an extra 3 incase they dont last. I would recomend these as replacments.

Not happy with Amazon bulbs. Every 6 months the sellers change or different products are offered. The Kelvin color tones between companies are never the same. If you have a lot of ceiling lights, you either have to completely replace all the working bulbs or be satisfied with different color hues, that are noticeable. These bulbs started falling apart after a couple months - the lenses dropped off onto the kitchen counter. Flickering started a few months later, even on the run that had no dimmer. Sorry, from now on I go to home depot and buy Philips or Sylvania brand for a few bucks more.
