So much better than any other bulb
As someone who has dimmers on all lights and absolutely hates how most LED bulbs dim, either flickering or gaining an ugly green or blue tinge. These bulbs work perfectly, generating good colour at full brightness and dim with a nice consistent warm glow with no flicker

Very Pleasant
Finally! LED lights that I don't hate. The warm glow effect is good. The light takes on a warmer tone as you turn down the dimmer. They don't have that terrible strobe/flicker effect that some other LED lights do, where you scan your eyes across the room and you see a trail of dots in your vision. That drives me crazy. The light color of these bulbs on full power is good. I have them over my pool table and the colors of the balls and cloth look well represented. The daylight bulbs I was using earlier did make everything look more vibrant and colorful but I really don't like daylight bulbs. They put me on edge and I just want to get away from them. These new bulbs make comfortable, pleasant light. These bulbs are hard to find locally and it seems like Phillips might be phasing them out unfortunately. I really wanted 120w equivalent but I can't find them.

seems ok, bright & dimmable
Well, the box arrived in a plastic shipping bag, when opened the box was clearly opened before & one of the boxes inside that contained a light bulb had been clearly opened as well. Not sure if I received a bunch of used bulbs or not. I put into the ceiling fan, they seem to work ok- they definitely dim when I slide the switch down, so thereโs a plus. Other than the boxes being obviously tampered with, all seems ok so far. Hopefully I received new bulbs that will last a while, we shall see! If any go out anytime soon, Iโm definitely returning to Amazon, too expensive to get used bulbs. They are bright, and the warmth seems ok. As far as sheerness- no idea why thatโs even an option to rate, lol. I wish I could rate the Amazon packaging- I would give it a big fat zero.

Nice color, warm effect is good. Appearance could be improved.
Nice bulb and what I was looking to find. They mimic how the color temperature of an incandescent bulb gets warmer as it is dimmer. The dimming range is not as smooth as an incandescent bulb, but the color output is very good and the dimming range is useable. Iโve only used these in a dimmer with a manual dimming control (infinite adjustability). I have no knowledge of how well they will dim in a dimmer with pre-set dimming settings. Currently my only criticism/observation for improvement is if the appearance of the bulb could be improved. They have the thick plastic base and they donโt look like a traditional bulb. I think the appearance takes something away from the product. I always enjoy lights from Philips. I have many Hue bulbs but for this application I needed a traditional bulb to use with a traditional dimmer switch. The smart features are nice but they can be fussy and this is a good simple bulb that mimics well an incandescent bulb.

Excellent LED dimming bulb for electronic switches.
I bought these after trying about a dozen other bulbs for dimming. These are the first bulbs that maintain a warm color during dimming and have an incredible dimming range ( compared to other LED dimming bulbs I have tried ). They do buzz very slightly but very low, I have to be within inches to hear it. a couple feet away I do not hear anything, way better than other LED bulbs I have tried. I am using them in HomeSeer Z-wave dimming switches and Inovelli z-wave dimming switches..

They don't claim to be dimmable and they aren't!
The difficult thing for me is that there are many diverse uses for bulbs in a house and LED bulbs are only sold in packs of 4, 6 or more. I got these bulbs for 2 cases where no dimming was required and the previous LED bulbs were just too powerful. These worked great in both of those applications. That left me with 4 unused bulbs that wouldn't be required in these two applications for 10 years. For me (70), likely a lifetime supply. However, I ALSO have a bathroom vanity with 4 bulbs in front of a large mirror where all the LED bulbs I tried were just too powerful. I need bright to shave, otherwise -- particularly at night -- dim works best. I went to the Lutron site to find a dimmer AND 4 recommended dimmable bulbs. That did work, but even on the lowest dim setting, the 60-watt LED dimmable bulbs were still way too powerful. I forgot that these weren't dimmable and, given that they are only rated at 20 watts, tried them in the 4 vanity fixtures. Wow, talk about strobe lights. Ha! AND even without dimming these 20 watt rated, 3 watt bulbs were bright enough to shave!!! LED light is typically more powerful than you think it will be. It occurs to me that, eventually, someone will start a web exchange site for people who are forced to buy too many LED bulbs and have no near term use for the extras.

Great product!
I LOVE these bulbs! They match the Kelvin of a typical soft white 60W incandescent bulb perfectly! Which is nice if you're transitioning a bazillion bulbs and can't do them all at once or if you plan to keep some incandescent bulbs in the same environment as your new LEDs and want them to match. I am currently running these (and other Philips models) on Zooz & GE Enbrighten Z-Wave dimmers (wall and socket) and they dim flawlessly (not a hint of a flicker). Which is more then I can say for the Sunco and Sylvania dimmable LED bulbs. Smartswich people: before *$CJK#$@ about your dimmer switches, maybe try a better quality LED bulb and possibly not buy the cheapest China knockoff switches you can find. Just saying ....

Amazingly good replacement for incandescent bulbs.
I'm a light snob. I've been hoarding my old incandescent bulbs which I love for their warm light. These are the first LED bulbs that made me retire some of my old incandescent bulbs. I installed one of these Philips 479444 LED bulbs side-by-side with one of my old fashioned incandescent bulbs, and watched each bulb's behavior as I adjusted the dimmer. The Philips LED bulb nicely changes to a more orange color as the brightness decreases. It closely matches the incandescent bulb in both brightness and color tone. I'm not saying the color rendition (CRI) is perfect, but the overall lighting mood is lovely. These are a good candidate for incandescent replacement in cozy comfortable living spaces. If you want a clear bulb instead of frosted white, I've found the Philips LED 536532 to be even better! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KQSGXS4
