Perfect pairing with a 7800X3D for 1440p comp titles
I bought this ASUS SFF-Ready Prime RTX 5070 for $499 and it has been an excellent value for my use case. I am mainly a competitive gamer and have hit near top ranks in multiple titles (R6 Siege, Overwatch, and Marvel Rivals). I play at 1440p on a 27-inch monitor, with competitive settings most of the time and occasional AAA/high-end games on high or ultra. One thing I did not fully appreciate until upgrading is how important the CPU is for competitive titles. I upgraded to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D while keeping my old RX 5700 XT at first, and the biggest improvement was not raw FPS, it was smoothness: noticeably less stuttering and much better frame consistency, with only a smaller FPS bump. That upgrade made it obvious that the CPU was a major limiter for the games I play. That said, bottlenecking still exists the other way around, especially at 1440p. Even with a 7800X3D, you still need a capable GPU to take full advantage of it. For me, the RTX 5070 is the sweet spot if you mainly play competitive titles but still want the option to run AAA games at high settings. My heavier games include modded Cyberpunk 2077, GTA V, Elden Ring, and Minecraft with shaders (which can push my system hard, especially without DLSS). The 5070 handles that mix very well. I considered stepping up to a 5070 Ti, but after taxes the price increase for that tier would have been a large jump for me. Since GPUs tend to become “outdated” the fastest compared to the rest of a build, I would rather take the value tier now and upgrade again later than overspend for performance I do not consistently need. In my case, the 5070 Ti just did not make sense for the extra cost. Overclocking and tuning have been a highlight. This card has a lot of headroom. I gained roughly 10% extra performance with a simple OC (+300 MHz core, +1500 MHz VRAM). I have also tested running a lower power limit. I dropped it from 120% to 85% and, in the games I play, I have not noticed a meaningful performance difference, but it does reduce power draw. Thermals have also been good. In my testing, the GPU sits around 67°C under load. For anyone curious, I included benchmark screenshots. My results were: * 3DMark Steel Nomad: 5839 * MSI Kombustor (2560×1440): 6587 * FurMark (2560×1440): 13153 Overall, if you are primarily a competitive gamer at 1440p and want a strong value GPU that can still handle occasional AAA games at high settings, this RTX 5070 is an easy recommendation. If you are mainly an AAA/high-settings player and want maximum graphics performance per dollar at the higher tiers, you may already know you will be happier spending more on a 5070 Ti-class card. For my priorities, this 5070 was the right balance.

Best GPU I've ever owned for 1440p gaming.
I needed an upgrade from my old AMD Sapphire GPU to handle studio work (2D/3D CAD, light 3D rendering, etc) and take on some gaming (Cyberpunk 2077 as the benchmark). So far I have had zero issues. Install was easy as usual, just make sure you wipe your old drivers and update you MoBo BIOS. I'm a 1440p disciple and my ASUS TUF Monitor has never looked better in regard to video quality. HDR looks fantastic, Cyberpunk will even run Path Tracing at about 60FPS with a LITTLE boost from your CPU if you've got a higher end piece. Definitely a powerful card for this range. I'm glad I didn't listen to the influencers hating on this series. It will definitely run hot so make sure you've got your case fan cooling in check. It's a solid built GPU for sure. It's THICC but fits my mid-size case perfectly. I was also surprised that it didn't sag. I bought a GPU support arm for the long term just in case if over time it decided to sag after all. The only additional investment I had to put in was in getting a new Power Supply for the new 16 pin connector. I didn't really need it, I could have just got the wire since my old one was modular, but I decided to play it safe just in case.

Next Level Performance for the Price
The RTX 5070 absolutely blew me away. I upgraded from an older GPU and the jump in performance is unreal. Games that used to struggle now run effortlessly at ultra settings and the ray tracing looks amazing without tanking the frame rate. Temps stay nice and cool and the fans are super quiet even during long gaming sessions. NVIDIA really nailed it with this card. Great efficiency, smooth DLSS 3.5 performance, and rock solid stability. It’s the perfect balance of power and value and easily one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my build. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a future proof GPU without spending a fortune.

Really good MSRP model for RTX 5070
I used this RTX 5070 because it was the largest MSRP model and utilized the most space I had available in my ITX/SFF case. Runs fairly quiet at full load on the Performance BIOS setting. Runs everything really good up to 4K. Clean black aesthetic. Stayed between 60-65°C under full load while running a few gaming benchmarks.

Bought it for my wife, I am Jelly
My computer is newer, I build my wifes about 3 years ago and she had a RTX 2060 in it, bought this for an upgrade. One of the games we play will video freeze for a second when you do a certain thing because it's loading a bunch of video data at once (poor game design) It's the only game that does this, anyway my RTX 4060 still video freezes for a few seconds while my wifes loads it no problem. It's a monster of a card so I am happy when she picked out a case she had plenty of room, also glad I oversized her PSU because I knew since GTX1070 the video cards where on the rise of power consumption again. This however is the first one that took (2) 8 pin connectors and uses a special connection to power the card. OUCH glad I had that handy, other cards only uses 6/8 pins If you buy this, you won't regret it as long as you have the room and the power, its great middle ground between price and performance, I don't really see any reason to spend anymore money on a higher end from what I have seen.

Best Price and Bios have 120 Percent Power Limit 300WATT
If you’re looking for an RTX 5070, look no further. This card comes with a BIOS that allows a 120% power limit, making it easy to push serious overclocks. Reaching 3.2 GHz on the core is very achievable, and thanks to the large triple-fan cooler, temperatures stay comfortably in the low-60°C range even when overclocked. With just 10 minutes of tuning, you can unlock around 10% extra performance. Simply install MSI Afterburner, set the power limit to 120%, increase the core clock by +250, and push memory to +2000 or more. The result is a true BEAST mode RTX 5070.

Amazing upgrade.
So far so good. 13 days in replaced a 2070 Super. I was really hesitant of getting a 12gb VRAM model and not going with the TI version but moneys tight right now. I spent a couple weeks researching and even though every thing I read and watched showed this card to be a great card I just couldn't help looking at that 12gb VRAM. I really didn't want to go with the AMD card similar as Ive been using NVidia for years now. So I pulled the trigger. Swapped out the card, updated drivers, smooth as butter swap. Everythings working great and a noticeable difference in FPS for example playing No Mans Sky I was getting 30-70 FPS with the 2070 Super depending how long I played the FPS would degrade over time. Im getting a solid 90-110 FPS with this 5070 and with DLSS turned on it gets floored! I set it to a max of 144 FPS because my monitors are 144hz and its maxed at 144. Im guessing it will hit 200-400 if I uncap it, easy. (All settings Ultra) This is a great card if you are upgrading. It handles streaming and playing games at same time with no issues. Bonus with NVidia is the NVENC that AMD cards don't have and better handling on ray tracing. This isn't the best of the best out there but its a very noticeable difference from previous gens and (at the time of posting this) it doesn't cost as much as a used car, but its still too expensive in my opinion. I will update this post if anything changes, providing seller doesn't remove this listing. If this is in your price range... get it.

If you can wait, you wait. If you can't, just get it already.
This is the review for the Asus RTX 5070 Prime bought at $610 (because Amazon/Asus bunch up all the other models in one page to boost stars). I'm coming from an RTX 2070 so any 50 series card is fine for me. Great card IF you don't mind not going over 12GB. Some say drivers are bad but no issues on my end. I NEED Nvidia's CUDA and fit my budget of around $600 that's why I choose this card instead of AMD. I would buy an AMD card but as of writing this review, AMD still has yet to come out with an answer to CUDA and the MSRP of 9070XT suppose to be $600 but is around $850 right now. At this point, just go for the 5070 TI for around $900 which has CUDA and 16GB. I WISH I can get a 5070 TI for $750 MSRP but its not likely still in the world's economics. Why I choose this ASUS Prime card vs others?: 3 weeks before the purchase, I ordered the cheapest 5070 Gigabyte model but with the news of it having issues with the thermal pad/gel they used, it put me off. Also it would come in June when bought back in May 16. Also this ASUS Prime was selling for around $700 but then they lowered it to $610 which is around the Gigabyte model in $ but better. So I canceled the Gigabyte one and got this. Why choose a 5070 instead of +/-1 tier?: Again, money. My budget is around $600. If the card is MSRP $550 and plus $50 for an AIB card, I'd say thats ok if you really want it. Next tier might be GREAT at $750 MSRP, but at $900 in reality, no thanks. Below is the 5060TI 16GB which is suppose to be $429 MSRP vs reality of ~$490, also worst performance vs 5070 (besides the 16 vs 12GB future proofing). Size wise: its a large card. Coming from the 2000s series where 2 slot card and shorter~ish cards were the norm, this is a giant compare to it. I can't fit this in my other alt, old ITX case when I want to hand-me-down this card to the old ITX build, even though its "Nvidia SFF-ready", it is still not a strictly 2 slot and is long. Performance wise: just go look at the charts and video on Youtube. This average Joe's Amazon review isn't gonna cut it. 4stars, If you want it, you get it. If you can wait, you wait. If you hate Nvidia's BS marketing of 5070>4090, join the club. If you the 'feel' the planned obsolescence of 5070 having only 12GB, its true and my review isn't going to change that for you. WAIT IT OUT IF YOU CAN...I can't TL;DR its great if it was $550 MSRP and don't go over the 12GB, but with the world's economy, this card is just ~ok. I'd rather have a card in hand vs wait another 6months for same ~$600 price (lol, do you REALLY think Nvidia cards go on sale? NO) that I can enjoy TODAY.

AMAZING
Perfect in every way. I didn't need one, just wanted it and bought just in case of any price spikes but I sure am glad I got it. It plays everything on Ultra at 100+ FPS 1440p no DLSS. Tested with DLSS and got even more FPS. Very happy with the purchase. There was a slight hint of a coil whine in a game I was getting over 300 FPS but I capped it 180 to my monitor refresh rate and it was gone. But it wasn't loud at all, I could slightly hear it. I wouldn't give it any less rating just for that minor , not loud issue. 100% would recommend for anyone looking for a decently priced GPU that handles all the current games at High/Ultra settings.

One of the best values of 2025 for 1440p and 4K gaming. Wayyy better than AMD 9070!!
The 5070 is honestly a great GPU value in 2025. There's so much focus on the 12GB VRAM it has by reviewers and social media narratives online, but let me tell you that's it's more than enough for basically every game out there. There's plenty of great old and new games you can play on this GPU without an issue, and it will perform great and also efficiently. I have successfully played and completed many demanding games at both 1440p and 4K resolution with this card. DLSS is really a game-changer on many newer titles, and at 4K you can easily run it with 'balanced' or 'performance' mode and get huge FPS increases and VRAM reduction on this card as well. If you just tweak your settings a bit the whole card can handle every good game easily. At 4K in particular I have played games like Stellar Blade, Arc Raiders, Silent Hill 2, RE4, RDR2, The Last Of Us 1 & 2, Expedition 33, Elden Ring, Spider-Man, Assetto Corsa series and many others without a single issue or problem. Again just tweak your settings a bit folks, no need to max every single setting at 4K as DLSS really does work that good. Frame-gen although people have critcized also works very well on this card, especially on fast paced action games like Stellar Blade as I mentioned. Even without frame-gen many of these games I got running at 75-100 FPS at 4K and frame gen pushes it 150+ on many titles, especially at 1440p. In comparsion, many will recommend the AMD Radeon 9070 or 9070 XT because of 16GB VRAM or other stuff.. but here in Canada both of these cards are way overpriced and the drivers (still) suck to this day. No matter what anyone tells you, you can find tons of problems with AMD across games and applications at times, more so than you ever will with Nvidia. It might work for a while, but at some point something will break with it either due to a bad driver update by AMD or something to do with Windows 11 updates. These are just the facts.. even in 2025. AMD is NOT an equal product, and never have been. On paper, the numbers might look good with AMD at times, but the reality is always MUCH different in practice. I had tons of issues with AMD RX 6000 series, especially in Windows 11. It could never be fixed, and I did hours of troubleshooting and modifications. I'm reading about the same problems online with the AMD RX 9000 series.. just go searching around you'll find them. The Nvidia RTX 5070 has been completely 'plug and play' in comparison. Install the drivers and good to go without any extensive troubleshooting involved. The next thing to mention with AMD is FSR "support" simply sucks as well. Even if FSR 4 is supposedly 'on-par' with DLSS 4.. the support side simply is not there. Tech reviewers will cherry pick the games that actually support it, but many other games do not have the same level of support. Many games will still use FSR 2 or 3 or not even have an option to use FSR at all, meanwhile you can run the latest Nvidia DLSS on every game that has it and swap in the latest one on older games that use older DLSS versions via override and .dll swap. This simply cannot be done with AMD nearly as easily or as effectively. So the whole 'raw performance' argument doesn't hold up with AMD anymore.. in todays games upscaling tech is simply taking over.. and Nvidia is way ahead in this area and also performing better in ray-tracing as well.. which is also being used in many new games. So anyway, I could go on and on.. but the truth is the 5070 is simply a strong option for what you actually get for both gaming and daily computing work. It's reliable, much more power efficient, and simply works. There's more to it than just raw benchmarks or 12GB VRAM.. this card offers way more than the competition and at a routinely lower price as well. I'd highly recommend it to the educated and maximum dollar value shopper, you won't regret it.
