Great carrier worked great the bag is very heavy duty very portable can hold a lot of things straps are very strong easy to use zipper is very durable waterproof material allows things to stay dry the carrier is easy to assemble one thing I like about this one it comes with a u bolt and bracket so it doesn’t move around on the hitch insert I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has to have extra room to haul things.

We did quite a lot of adding on to make this everything we needed it to be. Finding the perfect container to mostly utilize the whole foot print, a step up hitch riser extension and additional stabilizer clamp for it. In the end it was SOLID and was a great addition to our SUV for a family road trip of about 800 miles each way. The hitch riser got it out of the hot exhaust and the container we choose was slightly less wide to avoid blocking the brake lights. This item is a great starting point/base layer. Just don't expect it will be all you need for the total solution. It was easiest for two people to put on and take off and I was also able to do it by myself. With stabilizer clamps and tie downs it didn't rattle at all. It does already have a few small rust spots but at this price point we don't mind and don't intend to use this frequently so no worries.

Used this for a road trip where I needed extra storage. I put everything in the bag and it was great. Keeps everything dry. The rack was easy to put together and use. It's lightweight makes it easy to handle to put on the receiver hitch and take off for storage. I did not use the extension piece and if fit nicely on my Acura. Tail lights are still visible with the bag. This is a great product. I highly recommend!

So putting this together wasn't too bad BUT follow directions. Like most projects like this you don't tighten everything until the end. The cross bars at the end didn't line up perfectly which took a little bit of work to get in. I eventually had to remove two of the bolts to the main bar to get the two small cross bars to line up and the screws in. Then it took a few to get the screws I took out back in. If I had tightened the main bar screws all the way there would have been no way to get the cross bar ones on. Either way it was more of a struggle than what it should have been. However, it looks feels strong. It looks well put together and that it will hold up if taken care of properly. I have to main tests coming up and will update within the next month and a half. FYI you will need two wrenches to put these together. Even with the issues of the bolts it didn't take more than 10 minutes to put together. Update: Took this for a weekend excursion. It is nice and compact. I was able to fit a large suitcase and medium one laying down and a folding wagon. I only put these on so the license plate on my SUV could be seen and that I could open the back without having to take stuff off. The cargo seems a little shallow but does work. Next trip we are going to try crates and see how that works. Just trying different things to see what we like best. The silencer this came with worked great. We didn't have any shifting or play with the rack. It kept is nice there was no rattling or noise. We had a locking pin so we kept the rack on all weekend especially since we had no problem with parking space. We fit in the parking spaces and didn't stick out so instead of removing everything and putting things back on we just left it on. So we are very happy with the purchase.

Easy assembly and very sturdy. Allows for water to pass through without pooling underneath. This fit my grand Highlander without damaging anything. I was able to assemble and install by myself, so that’s a bonus. The bag that comes with is very water resistant. Traveled through multiple states and passed through a nasty storm- everything was still dry. I like that the large rack allows extra room after the bag is installed. I could fit other beach items. LOVED IT

Worked well. Drove from Michigan to Alaska and back and the bag was truly waterproof. It was also dust proof. It made my back up camera useless on my Jeep Compass though, especially when the gate was flipped up. The license plate was unable to be seen as well. I’d still recommend it though. It was easily assembled and could be taken on and off my car with little effort (beyond strength.)

I really wanted to like this cargo carrier. The carrier itself is well-built, sturdy, and appears to be made from quality materials. Unfortunately, my overall experience has been extremely disappointing. I originally purchased this carrier for one of my vehicles, only to realize later that vehicle did not have a receiver hitch. When I attempted to return the item, both UPS and another shipping carrier quoted me over $170 to ship it back—more than I had paid for the product itself. Because returning it wasn’t financially practical, I decided to keep it and use it on a second vehicle after purchasing a hitch adapter. The carrier fit using an hitch adapter and performed well during our trip. However, when we arrived at our destination and began unloading, I discovered that one of my plastic storage totes had partially melted to the cargo carrier. The tote contained food, plates, napkins, and other camping supplies. The carrier itself showed no damage, but the heat being transferred to the platform was enough to completely ruin the tote. What makes this even more concerning is that there was plenty of distance between the carrier and the vehicle. There was roughly a foot of space between the rear of the vehicle and the carrier itself, plus additional distance created by the hitch adapter. Despite that, the heat issue still occurred. This creates a serious safety concern. Not only is there potential for damage to cargo, but it could also become a fire hazard depending on what is being transported. The fact that one side of the carrier effectively can’t be used for normal storage also creates loading and weight-distribution concerns. After the incident, I went back and reread the reviews and noticed another customer had reported a similar issue. I originally assumed it was an isolated incident, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me. To make matters worse, customer service has been very difficult to work with. Responses take several days, and despite multiple attempts to discuss a return, refund, or shipping assistance, I have received very little meaningful help. The carrier is strong and well-made, which makes this even more frustrating. I genuinely wanted this product to work, but between the heat issue and the lack of customer support, I cannot recommend it!

Worked very well for my family. I really bought this just for the rack but the bag and straps that come with it are very good quality. Honestly I would like to give it a 4.5 star but without that option it’s closer to 5 than 4 so here we are. I wish the bag was the same size the rack is when assembled to the largest size but I understand why it isn’t.
