Best Labo Yet
This kit was packed with content! As usual, there are three sections: Make, Play, and Discover. There are also three vehicle kits to make: the car, submarine, and plane. There are also two "keys" and a spray can you can build. The directions to building the kids are very simple and easy to follow. The instructions also include cute little quips, adding some character and humor to the whole process. You can move the pieces around on the screen, allowing you to look closely at the models, which are also very true to form. The engineering behind the toy-cons are very ingenious--the pieces fit together perfectly and there are many steps to making them more sturdy. This kit includes more games than the previous two kits. The adventure mode is jam packed with content but there are other modes like racing, fighting, and decorating. You can also play with two people in certain modes. In Discover, you can learn how all of the parts work and there are moments when you can see from the point of view of the infrared camera. There are also some very basic engineering and physics concepts discussed, perfect for piquing a child's interest in STEM. Alongside the garage, where you can customize the creations to do different things, there is also a new mode that allows you to reprogram the controls for the games so you can play it differently. Overall I'd recommend this for anyone who really likes building things. It's a great activity either with kids or to do alone.

Outstanding
For our son who just turned 11 and has grown tired of Legos, this was a perfect purchase. It took him hours to build all the sets, which he did over the course of probably 1.5 weeks. He was super proud to be able to do it all by himself. He was able to build one part, play with it, then build other parts, etc. The instructions were very well presented, and the engineering is impressive. The only piece that seems to come apart is the lid which attaches to the steering wheel. The exploring game that comes with the cardboard itself is a little slow paced, but gives him plenty of achievement-based rewards to keep him going. It's pretty awesome to see the vehicle transform from plane to car to sub in any order with just a swap of a joy con. The Labo garage is also a great addition where the demo games and activities are amazing, and give you plenty of room to program your own. Now we just need to figure out where to store all the cardboard sets when he's not playing them.

Cardboard fun! Highly recommend!!
Highly recommend! My 7yo son spent hours putting each cardboard item together. I’ve never seen him so focused and motivated to build and put something together, more focused and determined than when he builds with his LEGOs. The instructions are visual, step-by-step, and very easy to follow on the Switch or TV (if you dock the Switch). After each item, he would test it out by inserting the Switch or controller(s) into the dedicated slots and play, which motivates him to move onto the next item in the set. He enjoys playing with it alone and with his cousins when they come over. Great buy. Highly recommend. And I still can’t believe it’s ALL cardboard. Note: it’s all cardboard snap outs(!!). Box comes with something around 30ish snap out sheets. Does get messy with the tiny, small pieces of cardboard left.

Awesome set.
My 11 year old son got this for getting all As ans Bs in school this year. The best thing I like about this set is all the time it took my son to put it together. He did it by himself and it took him awhile, which is great because he was doing something other than playing video games or complaining about how bored he is because he isn't playing video games. He really enjoyed putting it together and gave him some real confidence and pride. He loves playing it now that it is together. Even if his interest doesn't last long it was worth every penny. I love seeing him build things and follow instructions and love seeing the pride and confidence he gains once he has accomplished something. I think it's kind of fun to play as well.

Great, engaging game
Great game/build. It took my son all day to build it which was part of the fun. Instructions were very thorough. Game is cute and engaging. Only minus is, if you want to have multiple profiles play the game, you have to run through all the building instructions despite the items already being built.

Wow! Great idea, well executed
Nintendo Labo is absolutely spectacular. As an engineer, I'm very very impressed with the "design grammar" that Nintendo has developed. With a few simple patterns (folds, tucks, slides, and "retainers") the Nintendo designers have created some very interesting widgets. Add to that their clever use of the IR and motion sensors built into the controllers, and you've got quite a neat bit of engineering. Well done! As a father, I couldn't be more happy. My son took to the idea right away. He really enjoys the building journey -- perhaps even more than the game play. But the games are terrific. All the Labo kits take advantage of the unique features of the technology to provide really cool games to go along with the building experience. Five plus.

It did not bring all the cardboard. poor quality control
I bought the Nintendo Labo as a Christmas gift for my children and when I opened it I found a cardboard repeated and another missing. We could not finish assembling the car controls. You can not even imagine the frustration of my children and my anger with this product. We finished our Christmas with a box full of useless cards, since you need them all to complete the assembling, and video game that can not be use since they need the assembled car controls to use them. all this cost me $100, including what I spended for the shipment of this trash to my country, and now Amazon wants me to spend more money to return it to the USA to request a refund. Thank you Nintendo for ruining the Christmas gift of my children, all because of your poor quality control and for your zero assistance to the customer.

Quite frankly, the most amazing new thing I have found for my 10 year old son. I am tired of his “screen time” during these times and this has been a wonderful new activity. Of note he is at a 16+ in Lego for reference in his assembly of this type of project. Most would know how pricey that activity is and I am happy to move on from that. This was his first kit, we ordered the race set an it is even better. For parents it is a very very high quality cardboard punch out set that requires snap and tie assembly and integrates with the Nintendo Switch. When finished it integrates your child’s movements to the video screen. It takes 3-5 hours of work from a skilled builder of Lego as my best reference. If the child has no building experience, a parent or other experienced partner will be needed to help. Rob
