a return to form!!!!
after "rock the plank" i was in some doubt about the mad caddies future after they produced this very poor pop punk album dropping most of the horns and ska leaving some below standard gutair power pop.im glad to say however this album is a return to form. the mad caddies jazzy horns and unmistakable mix of dixieland jazz, reggae, surf, rock, punk and country. if you want to get into the mad caddies i recomend this albumthis album seems to combine all the best elements of the mad caddies past album. it has the ska pop punk of "10 west" which was explored on quality softcore, the jazz-punk of duck and cover in the form of "leavin" and the intense punk of "contraband" (called "see you in rehab" on amazon) which was previously seen on rock the plank.this album also explores some new teritorys aswell. "just one more" is a mexican style song and mad caddies delve into reggae deeper than before with "spare change?" and "drinking for 11". sascha also plays the acoustic gutair (a first for the cads) in "good intentions" and his banjo also makes a welcome return in "villians".on the whole id say this is a graeat album although i do perfer duck and cover which seems to have more energy to it while this seems more chilled. id recomend this album to any ska punk fan who wants a change fromn the regular run of the mill ska punk.

perhaps some recognition this time?!
its about time mad caddies were fully recognised for what they are doing. they write absolutely brilliant songs, which can't help but get you moving, be it at a party or sat in your living room. i'd reccommend this recording to any fan of punk/ska as it contains the elements of both, combined with the caddies uniqueness which throws them aside from the more mainstream punk bands. this cd is by no means a mainstream album, but with the way music is going nowadays, it might just break them into popularity!stand out tracks include:villains; rockupation; just one more; last breaththis cd has such a good energy behind, and in front of it, and will ad diversity, and good times to you record collection........and finally to correct the track listing from the one on this site:drinking for 11contrabandvillainssilencejust one moreday by dayleavin'rockupationlast breathspare changeriot10 westgood intentionswet doggame show

Another Awesome Release
This cd is awesome!!! mad caddies are one of the best ska bands out there right now and prove this with any one of their releases. This album goes back to the more dixieland feel of duck and cover which they strayed from on rock the plank. With a few tracks with an acoustic influence (drinking for 11, just one more) the new cheesey ska riffs (Villains, Leavin') and even the slower songs which i aint normally a fan of (last breath, spare change) the mad caddies have made another cd everyone should have in their cd colections!!!!

WELCOME BACK AND ON FORM
ITS GOOD TO SEE THE CADDIES BACK DOING WHAT ONLY THEY CAN DO BEST.THE NEW CD MIXES ELEMENTS OF THIER PREVIOUS THREE CDS WITH HORNS A PLENTY AND ROCKING GUITARS TO PUT MOST PUNK/SKA BANDS TO SHAME.IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THE HORN ASSULT THAT WAS "QAULITY SOFT CORE" THERES "VILLAINS" AND "SILENCE" IF "DUCK&COVER" IS MORE YOUR STYLE THERES "ROCKUPATION" AND THERES IS EVEN A BIT OF PIRATE CORE IN "CONTRABAND".ALL IN ALL THIS IS A FINE RETURN FROM A BAND WHOS SONG WRITING SKILLS GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH. BELIEVE ME THIS IS ANOTHER 15 SONGS THAT WILL BE LODGED IN YOUR HEAD FOR MANY A MONTH TO COME. BUY IT.
