Terminator 2D: NO FATE - Day One Edition (Nintendo Switch)

Hi! I was on the fence a while for this as it's still up there on price, though my wanting to play it got the better of me, so ... It's true what others say that it's quite short, but that is not really a downside imo ... It's an Arcade style game and even features an attract mode as well as high scores! Great touches both. Given this, you can now appreciate that this is not what this game was in any way meant to be about. Besides, anything that outstays itself in life is just a bore in the end, right? This is a pure throwback, think Arcade Robocop with some Contra etc.... it's all familiar and you'll play it over and over again,get to a certain part that is tricky, die, start again. Get a little better and It is addictive when you first play. (The nearest game I've played to this on switch would be Huntdown, while the nearest Retro game I can think of would be Super Star Wars on the Snes.) The gameplay on this title is simply excellent, very tight controls, it's not a complex title and so it runs smooth. Presentation is simply brilliant and a standout, it's T2 and I love it, They nailed it for vibe. Graphics look better than I had expected on screen than they looked when I was checking out reviews. It's really nice imo with plenty of detail. The day one edition is pretty nice, though all very secondary for me buying this, has a manual etc. There's plenty of replay potential here, obviously depending on how much you enjoy the gameplay. I'm also currently playing FF pixel remasters at the time of writing this, and this is a great counter foil play when I just want to forget things and play something a bit more casual for a little while, there is still a challenge here! Pretty sure you'll know from all this where you are with how much you are wanting to play this. If your a T2 person this comes highly recommend even at the 35 mark. If it comes down in price and you can wait, do that. My time of playing has been me using a Snes Classic controller and i'm just having a great time. I do hope this does well enough so that we may get other Retro inspired film tie in games. Marks out of 10?? Nahh, we don't need to go there, but still ... A Great little game of a Blockbuster film. I like it quite a lot.

Brilliant game. Short game but a must for terminator fans.

This game feels like a classic game brought back to life but with the same retro feeling. If you love terminator you will love this game definitely worth it for a phisical copy as well. With this You get an arcade coin, poster and a manual with controls to the gameplay. You don't get nothing like that with games now a days. I'm very happy with my purchase 5/5

I watched the film Terminator 2 Judgement Day and now it's the game everybody has wanted all year round for this Retro looking game that has the best shooting platformer gameplay it has to offer. It has had many Delays along the way but now it's finally here for to enjoy.

Fantastic game was worth the wait a must buy for any terminator or old skool side scroller lover. Just brilliant to play love it love it love it!
