This is the closest to genuine pho found in a Vietnamese restaurant. The flavor of the broth is right on target. The salt content is high but I suspect that’s true even in a restaurant. The cost is high compared to comparable products but to me it’s sooo worth it! You really need to try it, the “kit” even contains chopsticks!!

What happened????? My favorite instant pho. So excited to get my order on a day I’ve had a horrible cold and looking so forward to this tried and true! I opened the first bowl and NO flavor cube! Does NOT taste the same! I thought maybe I had one that got missed. The packaging has been updated since I ordered last winter and now the beef cube no longer comes with the soup and seasonings. Taste is not bad but is no longer the real flavor I have come to love and depend on. More like a ramen I would grab at the store. So disappointed!

Absolutely delicious. It’s not as good as restaurant style but it is definitely worthwhile to try. We added raw sliced beef and mixed vegetables

So I saw this Pho on a FireTV ad and got curious because I LOVE Pho so I gave it a shot. Well I was SHOCKED at how fantastic this was! Our house smelled EXACTLY like our favorite Pho place. Both my wife and I absolutely Loved it! If you know Pho it’s not hard to pick up the few additional ingredients you need to complete it to restaurant quality. So we went right through the first box of four and immediately reordered another, well, that’s where the disappointment begins. I do my pre prep of the ingredients and open the new bowl. It had “the smell” BUT it want the same, weaker. Eh maybe it’s me, so I add the hot water same as before, set in my favorite fixin’s and dig in. Immediately I notice it’s weak, it’s got the Pho flavor but it’s like half the strength, very watery. Well, I’m already into it so I open the Hoisin sauce packet to dip the beef and give it a squeeze…… nothing, the sauce is in there dried up like tar. Yeah I have a bottle of hoisin sauce but the fact that I’ve got a bowl of watery flavorless soup and a condiment that’s obviously old or spoiled just showed there’s a LOT of inconsistency in the quality of this product. I’m writing this now (glad I waited) because I just opened the second bowl that came in the box of four. I didn’t do the prep of the meat and veggies first this time though and I’m glad I didn’t. Same weak watery bland soup. I may try this again, I don’t know. I felt the first box of four was more than worth the high cost of this product because it was just that good, but now I’m two bowls into the second box and I can’t imagine wasting time even bothering to open the remaining two bowls. That puts me at $10 a bowl for the good batch and I had to supply and prep the meat and additional ingredients. It’s probably more cost effective to just drive to my favorite Pho place, give the owner a hud and pay a few bucks more for a much bigger bowl of the real thing Update: well sadly the quality continues to decline. I’ve purchased my third 4 pack of beef pho now each time hoping for a return to the first 5 star batch and each additional batch is just more disappointment. This last batch was flavorless noodles in water. That Pho smell is gone, the distinctive bone beef flavor is gone, it’s now little more than cheap grocery store ramen but for $5 a pop. This seems to be a case of growing too big too fast and sacrificing quality for quick profits. I just canceled my most recent order, that like the last few orders is running days late and giving up on this one. Sad but not a new story

I had been eating pho for years when I worked in north Philly. Twice a month my coworkers and I would go to what we affectionately dubbed the Vietnamese soup kitchen. While this is not quite the same, it is fast and convenient. I originally found these in my local Sam’s Club. I put together snack containers with add ons of beef or chicken with a slice of lime and some extra hoisin sauce because one packet is not quite enough. This time I ordered from Amazon because I can no longer find them at Sam’s. The packet of cilantro has been replaced by chives. Cilantro is either loved or hated. I happen to love it so now have to add some cilantro to my add ons. It would be awesome if the company would include both packets of chives and cilantro, as well as a packet of lime juice. The price is good but not great. One bowl says 2 servings but is probably a little smaller than a restaurant small bowl.
