Seems to be accurate. The built in magnets are frequently useful. I like that closing it shuts it off. I have been using it around 5 times a week for over a year, it's working like new.

The slim design and responsive probe make it a great tool for everyday cooking. However, the lack of a manual on/off switch is a real inconvenience. It either shuts off automatically or requires you to close the probe to power down. The problem? Once it turns off, the only way to reactivate it is by closing and reopening the thermometer. That’s not ideal when you're in the middle of cooking and don’t want to close a dirty probe before cleaning it. I often need to take multiple readings during a session, and having to wash and dry the thermometer each time just to turn it back on is frustrating. If it had a simple power button, this would be a 5-star product. As it stands, it’s still a solid choice—but with a usability quirk that’s hard to ignore.

So much better than the non-digital one I had. The numbers are easy to read and it registers the meat temperature quickly. Has a magnet on the back so I keep it on the fridge handy. Easy to clean too. Good purchase for the price.

This works very well. I never had a digital meat thermometer before, so this is a game changer. Very easy to use. The display is backlit when you first turn it on (by opening it), plus there’s a button to turn the light back on after it shuts off. I use this feature, but if you have young eyes or a well-lit kitchen, it might not matter to you. One tip: I’m sometimes tempted to stick the probe in and then use it as a fork to move the meat around, but i stop myself because I’m pretty sure that would be the end of it. Treat it gently, don’t submerge the body (I don’t know why you would), and you should have no problems. It really takes the guess work out of more situations than I thought. Of course it’s great for meats and fish, but it also helps when I’m heating something that’s pre-cooked but frozen. It’ll tell you when the center is thawed and cooked. I must have overcooked everything up until now, which dries things out. This helps stop me from over-cooking as well as under-cooking.

I use a magnetic strip for all my knives and this thermometer has a magnet built in and stays on my knife strip. I love the look and the display is very easy to read. It can be changed to farenheit or Celsius and has a large screen.
