Desk Grommet (5 Pack) + Hole Saw kit - Ultimate Grommet Hole Bundle Kit 2-3/8"

These hole saws are addicting! I ended up having my son drill most of my built in bookshelves so that i could snake up cords out of sight whenever I wanted. I like hiding my diffuser, humidifier, clocks, etc on my book shelves.This saw lasted 10 holes before the blades ended up being completely worn smooth. I had to come back to Amazon to buy another one. I am going to try another brand with the hopes that it will last longer, although I don't know if I have many more holes to drill.

The grommets are installed and working great. My only difficulty was that I was installing them in a 2" thick walnut slab. The hole saw seems to reach to not quite an inch; so I drilled a pilot hole the whole way through and, even drilling the full depth of the hole saw from both sides I still had fun punching the hole out. But honestly I doubt most people are going to have this problem; my desktop is way thicker than most.

The bit broke the first time I used it, I had to pull a hole saw bit from another set to use the hole saw. But the saw worked after that and the grommets are exactly what I needed, so good enough

Ok! I have to start out with something that totally won me over with this product - which is the drill bit being able to disassemble! I worked full-time as an electrician for years and the biggest annoyance was after drilling a hold through a stud, a desk, or any wood area was trying to chisel the newly drilled out piece of wood - because it gets wedged into the bit and SUCKS getting out. The fact that after drilling the hole, with the bit still connected to my drill, I just unscrew the bolt and pop the wood out and continue on my way! That having been said, I shall continue.The Desk Grommets that come with it are so much better than the ones I had been getting at home depot, from contractors, and everywhere else - these have a heavy-duty rubber feel to them and fit perfectly into the hole right after drilling, as well as hold cables into place with ease!The drill bit cuts drills out the hole perfectly in one push. I will say, the first hole I drilled sounded like a witch screeching, but after that initial hole, the rest of the holes were a piece of pie (witch-less).This is an INCREDIBLE package for the price... especially when I used to get crappy plastic ones this size for $5/piece - (25 for just the grommets and another $5 for the bit)!Now I just need to see if I can get a set of grommets from the same seller, without the bit next time.5 OUT OF 5 STARS!!

The grommets seem good enough but I can't really give an accurate review because it did not come with the drill bit. I will be using the grommets though once I find a bit that will work. Kinda bummed

I used this kit to cut into my IKEA Besta media cabinet. I had wires run from the side and because I wall mounted the cabinet, I only really had access from the side or below. The best option was to run a grommet in the side and this kit was just what I needed. The hole bit was great and did the job just fine. The grommets are good quality as well. I ad no issues cutting into some particle board which really needs a sharp bit to avoid any bad chipping.I would definitely buy this kit again.

Did not receive the hole saw

You may want to add some glue or sealant if you want a tight fit. After drilling the holes with the included hole saw the grommets fit but are not snug and pop out easily. I didn't want to annoy my apartment neighbors too much so only drilled two holes. The hole saw is incredibly loud drilling through solid wood which I believe to be red oak.
