Princess 77 Hybrid Bermuda Grass Seeds 2 Lbs (Bulk)

Took longer than expected to sprout, and I needed more seed than I thought initially (bought 2 bags, 4 would have been better), but about 8 weeks later, I have a beautiful back yard full of grass. Here’s some helpful notes: 1 - Get a 2lb bag of seed for every 500sqft. 2 - Water frequently but for short intervals. 1 min at the top of every hour from 11am to 3pm in addition to 5 minutes in the early A.M. (This may change depending upon your location and climate) 3 - Your seed will require attention once planted. Doesn’t matter what seed you buy, you have to care and pay attention to your future lawn.

The seed was great! Spread well! I think I got about 70% to take, however some of the grass is purple but other than that this was a well worth it purchase! Can't wait to put on it and cut with my reel mower

Not worth buying. Half of the bag is inert matter. Inert matter is the percent, by weight, of material not capable of growth (i.e. filler). Filler can be any substance added to take up space. For example: broken seed that couldn’t be removed, dirt, corn cobs, sand, ect. Otherwise, you’re paying for a pound of junk! Wasted my time waiting for the item just to find out that I overpaid for a pound of seeds. Don’t waste your money and go somewhere else!

Slow to grow at first (compared to rye and fescue), but then it picks up after 2 months. I planted in late January, lightly covered (only a dusting of sand and peat), watered 2-3x a day to keep wet, and had germination in 8-12 days. I should give it its first cut by April. Some have said they got poor germination, but no problem here. Maybe people plant when it is too cool out or let the seeds dry out. FYI, my soil sucks, just sugar sand, so I assume most should have more success with the better soils.

Planted at the end of the growing season last year. Germinated within 14 days. We'll see how it grows this spring. Fingers crossed.

I used this grass to cover a yard that was unattended for 20 years. There was nothing here and the soil were weak and unsupportive. After, spreading this seed, I was angry because it didn't show any growth at all around my house, However, it was June and it gets hot here in East Texas. I actually gave up watering at some point that summer, but in the fall I noticed some strange patches that weren't weeds. 4 or 5 patches of this grass showed up and being to spread rapidly. One patch that started from some seed that was washed down from the house took up residence in some loose sand. That patch is away from the sprinkler system and actually ended up in a driveway when some construction started on the property. Even though cement trucks, bulldozers, work trucks, and tractors drove over this patch for at least a year, the grass still remains. It's like you can't kill it. The rest of the yard looks great despite the construction (hence, there is not photo) and I know that it's going to be fabulous when it's all done. Love this grass!

Nice thin leaf texture, I like to keep a short almost putting green lawn, Most of my lawn is Tif but used this to repair a few spots where I got a little carried away with the MSMA

I applied this product three different times just to make sure that I wasn’t doing something incorrectly… I got virtually no growth all three times… And I’m certain the last application was flawless… I’m so disappointed after spending this money on the seed having expectations I just wasted my money
