Eco-Friendly Dishwasher Tablets, Pack of 30 | 3-in-1

My tabletop dishwasher is tiny, so using a whole dishwasher tablet is a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut. That’s why I love these tablets – I simply cut one in half and use half per wash, giving me twice as many washes and making much more sense for a small machine. I specifically chose tablets rather than capsules because I can cut them in half. No fiddly plastic capsule, no unnecessary faffing, and half a tablet is plenty for my little dishwasher. They do a very good job. My dishes come out clean, glasses are clear, and I haven’t had problems with horrible residue or an overpowering chemical smell. They handle the usual everyday food, grease, mugs and plates perfectly well. I also like the eco-friendly side. They’re plastic-free, plant-based, vegan and cruelty-free, which makes me feel slightly less guilty about the amount of washing-up I produce. Obviously, if you’ve got a plate with three-day-old baked-on lasagne welded to it, I wouldn’t expect half a tablet to perform an exorcism. But for normal everyday washing in my tabletop dishwasher, half a tablet does the job beautifully. And because I use only half a tablet per wash, one pack lasts me much longer than it would if I used a whole tablet every time. 5 stars from me. I'm sold on these. Work really well and tick all the boxes for safety and eco which a lot of the other eco brands do not.

I normally buy the top end Fairy tablets, and even the top end Finish tablets, but those are insanely expensive now. I bought these for around 11p per tablet - which is my rough benchmark (well it's 10p but inflation lol) for the other tablets too. You can tell it's very eco friendly based on the compact cardboard packaging, but it's still sufficiently well packaged. The tablets aren't stuck together. I normally cut all my tablets in half because the detergent is usually too excessive for my wash load (2 person house hold). Given that, these clean relatively well. They're easy to cut because they're completely solid where as for the other tablets, there's some liquid so it's a bit messy. I can tell these don't clean as well as the other detergents because when I've cooked something particularly greasy, these tablets don't clean very well and I need to use an entire full tablet for it to do its job - comparatively, the others would do just fine. There's occasional grease stickiness in my air fryer basket. The tablet claims that it has salt and rinse aid built in. It could be because I'm in a very hard water location, but I see calcium carbonate/limescale starting to build up on some of my glasses. This was with a full tablet, and where I allowed my machine run out of salt and rinse aid. I would recommend you continue to use rinse aid and salt and don't rely on it. Other than that, I think this works just as well as any other tablet. If you cook particularly greasy things, you need to use more detergent, so you may want to consider something else.

I really wanted to love this product as I am always looking for products that don’t do any harm to the environment but these are dreadful! I had to put most of the wash through a second time, thinking I’d managed to block the water jets perhaps, and then hand wash most after the dreadful second run through. Totally not fit for purpose as they didn’t remove anything from the plates, tubs etc but also left an awful white deposit on everything which didn’t easily dry off. I will probably end up throwing them away which is an awful waste.

The product is good, and I was happy with it, which is why I subscribed for £5 and have been paying for the last four months. However, increasing the subscription price from £5 to £7 so soon is disappointing and feels unfair to loyal customers. A £2 increase is a 40% price rise, which is quite significant. Customers should be able to rely on a reasonable price, especially when they have already been paying regularly for several months. I understand that prices can change, but such a sudden increase makes me question whether the subscription is still worth the money. I hope the company will reconsider this decision and show more consideration for existing customers. Good product, but disappointing pricing policy.

Ocean Saver Dishwasher tablets Really good clean with these and doesn’t contain anything harmful compared to other brands Tablets are smaller than other pods I’ve tried but this doesn't effect the clean at all every wash has been great. Makes it easier to store more in containers if needed Watch out for deals as sometimes is cheaper to buy multiple of the smaller boxes rather than getting one big box great value for money all around and it’s good knowing you’re helping the planet too!
