Great work bag!
This is an outstanding commuter backpack. For nearly a decade, I relied on the lightweight REI Flash 22 as my go-to pack, but as it started to wear down, I struggled to find a worthy replacement—until now. This bag strikes the perfect balance for city commuters who want something lightweight but functional, avoiding the bulkiness and over-cushioning of many modern designs. The bag’s mix of cushioning and durable fabric is ideal, and its storage is truly exceptional. The three main compartments make it easy to separate clothes and electronics, while the numerous dividers and organizational pockets keep smaller items easily accessible. Unlike single-compartment packs that turn into “black holes,” this design eliminates the frustration of digging around for lost items. The inclusion of daisy chains for attaching elastic cords enhances the bag’s versatility, and the water-resistant zipper endpoints are a thoughtful touch for extra protection in unpredictable weather.I do have two minor, personal complaints. First, the shoulder straps lack a sternum buckle, which I think would improve fit and comfort. As a male, I find the straps overly cushioned, causing them to roll off my shoulders instead of lying flat. While I could buy an adapter, there’s nothing to anchor the sternum strap in place on the existing design. Second, the side compression straps could have been more versatile if the buckle positions were asymetrical. This would allow them to function as a cross-buckle across the front of the bag, ideal for securing an extra layer, like a jacket, while hiking.Despite these minor issues, this bag excels as a commuter option with incredible storage, thoughtful features, and a lightweight yet durable design.

Great bag for travel!
I bought the Osprey Axis backpack for airline and train trips, and it was perfect for the job! The two large compartments held a variety of packing cubes, and the padded laptop sleeve protected my 11” iPad Pro from drops and bumps. Even full of cargo, it was comfortable to carry. Osprey products are durable and well-constructed, and I look forward to many years of use!UPDATE: I recently had shoulder surgery, and my range of motion is diminished making it difficult to put on my Osprey Daylite Plus backpack with shorter shoulder straps. The Axis provides ample space for putting it on comfortably. Also, as winter sets in and I’m wearing heavy outerwear, the generous strap length of the Axis 24 makes it the perfect size to easily put on over a “puffy” jacket or coat. So I’m lucky to have two great Osprey backpacks, and one for warm weather and one for cold!

New favorite bag
Bought this to replace a10 year old Patagonia Refugio bag. Great quality, abundant storage, zippers work well and have easy to grab attachments. Brought to Guatemala with a kid and it was fantastic. Comfortable and good trainability for the plane/airport, and wandering around town and a bit of hiking. Most excited about how a nalgene can fit so well on the side pocket.

A great day pack
I love the quality, functionality and appearance of this pack. The perfect size for holding my day’s worth of clothes and other paraphernalia for after my morning workout. It is smallish, so it wouldn’t hold much more than that. I like the side buckles that allow you to cinch and compact the pack and its contents.

Stylish and Eco-Friendly
I bought this for my son for his senior year of high school as his old backpack was falling apart. He absolutely loves the Osprey Axis. It fits everything he needs - including his laptop - without being too bulky, and its simple aesthetic looks good. He especially likes the fact that the shape of the backpack isn't too wide, so it sits snugly on his back and looks stylish. As a parent, I appreciate the fact that it's extremely well made (and made of recycled material). The zippers and pull tabs are top-quality, and the top handle is slightly padded and easy to grab.Overall a great all-around backpack!

excellent, just a bit thick for my needs
This bag is fantastic. I love the padding on the back that cushions blows on laptops, and I don't have to worry about the laptop pushing against my back as I travel. The inside pockets are great, sturdy. The one thing that could be better is a thinner main pouch, but the side clips help control the top width. Students will love it.
