Hopefully I never need it, but I'm glad it's there
This is another piece of emergency gear that I originally purchased while over-preparing for an RV adventure trip. Thankfully, I never had to use it. At the time, I wasn't sure what access we'd have to emergency medical care in more remote areas, so I decided to build out a more capable first aid kit than I would normally carry. A compression bandage seemed like one of those items that would be invaluable in a serious emergency and completely unnecessary in normal lifeโwhich is exactly the kind of thing you want to have before you need it. What I like: * compact, vacuum-sealed packaging * easy to store in a first aid kit * appears well made * useful addition to trauma supplies * provides peace of mind Since returning home safely, these haven't gone unusedโthey've just been reassigned. One now lives in the first aid kit near my table saw, and another stays with the supplies I keep around my outdoor power equipment. Those are two places where the chances of a serious injury are probably higher than anywhere else around my property, and having appropriate trauma supplies nearby makes a lot of sense. Fortunately, I can't comment on real-world performance because I've never had to open one. That's actually the outcome I'm hoping for. My goal is for these bandages to remain vacuum sealed and untouched for many years. What I can say is that they arrived properly packaged, store easily, and fill an important role in a serious first aid kit. Like a fire extinguisher, it's not something you buy because you expect to use it. You buy it because if the day ever comes when you do need it, you'll be very glad it's there. Hopefully these spend their entire service life sitting quietly in a first aid kit. In the meantime, they provide an extra measure of preparedness and peace of mind around some of the more dangerous tools I use.

Surprising
These are very strong and do what they need to do. I opened one to try out and was impressed with its quality. Highly recommend for your emergency kit.

Hopefully they'll never be necessary
I will carry these in my vehicles. They are similar to an Army field dressing. Stop the bleeding and secure the wound is paramount in an emergency. Having some of these available can be lifesaving.

Better safe than sorry.
Amazon asked me to rewrite my review due to the community guidelines. So I'll try to be sterile in my choice of words. I'm a teacher, and I've attended trainings about "unhappy" events that necessitate immediate medical intervention. During these trainings I've used gauze, rags pretty much anything the fire department has. They recommend this type of product as it tends to work best. I carry a midsized "11 gallon" capacity nylon bag with many compartments filled to the brim with this product, specialized gauze, tourniquets, gloves etc. Anything that could be used in a " difficult " event, gosh forbid. If there should be a "boo boo" that requires immediate attention, I'm ready. This product is in that bag at all times. Should one ever encounter a situation that requires immediate compression, this product seems to excel. In short, it works very well. I hope this review meets with the community guidelines. Needless to say, I'm not a doctor, but have received training from a local fire department and EMTs. I feel prepared for these "unwelcome" situations and am very pleased this very product is in that bag. I hope I never have a need to use it.
