I love these Joseph Joseph Nest Colanders! They feel incredibly sturdy and stack perfectly, which is a huge win for saving cabinet space. The two separate sizes are super practical—I use the smaller one for quick rinses and the larger one for bigger tasks like pasta or washing veggies. But here’s the kicker: I found a bonus use that’s been a game-changer. In my household, we wash dishes by hand, and I started using the larger colander to collect all the leftover organic waste—veggie scraps, peels, whatever. I let it sit for a bit to drain off any excess moisture before dumping it into the trash. Guess what? No more messy leaks in the garbage can that end up stinking up the house. It dries out the rubbish just enough to keep everything clean and odor-free. Plus, while washing dishes, all that soggy waste has a home, and my sink looks so much cleaner during and after the wash. It’s like an unexpected bonus for kitchen organization! The handles on these colanders are seriously amazing too. Pouring contents into pots, salad bowls, or even storage containers is effortless—no awkward spills or wobbly grips. I've used these colanders now for 6 months and have greatly enjoyed them. They are designed in such a way to not only pour food into them easily, but to then pour food from them into bowls that are smaller without spilling over. They have handles that make it simply to pour from them to another dish or bowl. They are sturdy and will last a long time. They nest easily to put away. Highly recommended.

Exactly what my son was looking for. My old plastic strainer gave up the ghost & we've been trying to find an efficient replacement for our new sink. My son & I often cook together & he was after a collander that could drape over the partitian in our sink without sitting on the bottom. I was looking for something that didn't require 2 hands: one for the boiling pasta & another to hold a strainer. The handles are excellent. They drape over the sink divider without touching the bottom of the sink. Having the 2 different sizes makes it easier to manage portions. The center divide to our sink is about 4 cm, narrower than most US sinks with a 8-9 cm height difference than the surrounding lip. So many of the strainers we've tried do not extend to cover the difference in height or width. These however are already in use & so far, we love them. Good quality & good value. Would definitely order these again. It makes using both hands to control the hot pot & boiling water easier for those of us who lack coordination with 2 hands. Just wish they came in something other than dark grey. But will take the function over fluff any day!

Have only had it (the nesting set) a few days, and only used them a few times, but I am quite pleased so far. They are fairly light in weight, but they feel solid in the hand. I have put them in the dishwasher, and they seemed to have come out fine. I like the two pieces, and they nest together to save space. Having two pieces allows you to strain two different things without having to wash between the different items, and also I like having two sizes. The small works well for a few servings of berries. Usually, just two of us, so the larger one should be fine for almost anything else we need. For a large group, and some bulkier foods, you may need a larger strainer. We might still get a very large one (like 5 qt), but would only need that very rarely. The green color ones did not appeal to be, so I got the grey, and I think the grey ones look nice. Can't speak to the long term durability yet. Also, I think the holes might be a tiny bit hard to clean - but that can be true of any strainer / colander. But the dishwasher should take care of that. I haven't tried to use them on anything particularly large & heavy, nor have I used them for pasta (i.e. boiling water). I have a pasta pot with a strainer in the lid for that. And since sooooo many reviewers of colanders seemed to be obsessed with quinoa, no, I haven't tried these with quinoa. So far, for what I have used them for, I really like this set. We had one old, large, plastic, two small tab grips on the side colander that seemed just fine for years, but now that I have used this - I feel like I was missing out!

Decent colanders, but they don't fit on the middle rim of my standard double sink which is what i was hoping for.

I don't have much to add to previous reviews. I purchased this to replace a collapsible collander after the silicone cracked. This thing is sturdy and easy to store in my very cramped plasticware cabinet. I actually sit it on its side with the handles facing up to save some space. It sits solidly in the sink, and doesn't move when you pour things into it. Based on some other reviews, it's worth noting that you shouldn't hold the handle while you strain hot liquids. The handle was easy to grip and maneuver, even when the basket was full. I strained 3-4 quarts of stock through it for its first use, and clean up was easy - no residue left behind.

I use this to wash and drain produce and pasta. What I like most about this are the 3-corner shape and the easy-glide handle. Pouring and picking up are much easier with this colander than with a round colander with double tab handles. The handle is a dream—I can just slide my hand under the handle and pour the contents into a cooking pot, all with one hand. No more trying to empty a big round colander using both hands, and contents falling outside the cooking pan! The little nesting colander is very handy for washing/draining small amounts of fruit/vegetables, and for draining the tiny lids of mini food containers. I highly recommend this little space-saving, thoughtfully designed colander.

Loved this colander so much, we now have 2 sets of nesting colanders. They are great and made super well! Highly recommend!!

Ik dacht dat de kleinste vergiet te klein zou zijn, maar dat juist degene die ik nu het meest gebruikt. Nemen weinig ruimte in en zijn erg stevig.

De muy buen material, macizo y se ve aguantador. El asa para agarrarse fue lo que más me inclino a la compra y no decepciono. Muy contenta con el producto y facilidad de uso. El tamaño del grande es el equivalente al tamaño estándar que normalmente compramos y el chico me ha dejado asombrada porque tiene buen tamaño (pensé que no serviría) y sí es util. Los 2 escurridores anteriores de marca conocida "Tupper..." me duraron veintitantos años, espero que este mínimo lo mismo ya que esta de igual o mejor material (más gruesos si están).

These are the best strainers I have used. Ergonomically they are easy to hold and use. They drain well and are easy to clean. They also feel very robust and the stacking feature is well designed. A recommended product
