Absolutely Worth Every Penny!
โญโญโญโญโญ Great Addition to My Nighttime Routine Iโve been using the Hatch Restore 3 for a few weeks now, and Iโm really impressed. The sunrise alarm makes waking up feel much more natural, and the white noise helps me fall asleep faster without reaching for my phone. I also love how simple and elegant it looks on my nightstandโit blends in perfectly with my bedroom. The setup was quick, and the app is easy to use. Itโs definitely more expensive than a regular alarm clock, but the quality and features make it worth the investment. If youโre trying to improve your sleep habits or just want a more relaxing bedtime routine, I highly recommend it!

More Than an Alarm ClockโA Complete Sleep Solution
I donโt usually write reviews, but the Hatch Restore 3 has honestly been one of the best purchases Iโve made for my sleep and overall routine. First off, the design is beautifulโminimal, modern, and it actually looks aesthetically pleasing (which is rare for tech). But what really makes it worth it is how thoughtfully itโs designed for better sleep. The sunset feature at night has completely changed the way I wind down. Instead of scrolling on my phone, I now have a gentle, gradual dimming light paired with calming sounds that signal to my body that itโs time to rest. Itโs helped me fall asleep faster and feel more relaxed at bedtime. The sunrise alarm is just as impressive. Waking up to gradually brightening light instead of a blaring alarm has made my mornings feel so much less jarring. I feel more refreshed and less groggy, which is something I didnโt think a device could actually fix. I also love how customizable everything isโfrom light colors to soundscapes to routines. You can really tailor it to what works best for you. The sound quality is great too, whether youโre using white noise, nature sounds, or guided meditations. One thing I didnโt expect to love as much as I do is having a consistent nighttime and morning routine built in. Itโs helped me be more intentional about sleep, which has made a noticeable difference in my energy levels during the day. If I had to mention a downside, it would be the subscription for full access to contentโbut honestly, Iโve found it worth it for how much I use it. Overall, the Hatch Restore 3 feels like more than just an alarm clockโitโs a full sleep system. If youโre struggling with winding down at night or waking up feeling exhausted, I would 100% recommend it.

Two AuDHD adults, two Restore 3s, zero regrets
If you've ever laid in bed staring at the ceiling while a smart speaker cut out mid-rainstorm, or fought a $25 Amazon sound machine with mediocre sound quality that you had to manually start and stop every single night, this review is for you. My wife and I both have AuDHD, and sound at night isn't a preference, it's the difference between a night of sleep and a night of our brains refusing to shut up. Over the years we've run the gauntlet: Alexa with scheduled rain routines, a Google Home doing the same thing, and eventually a cheap $20โ$30 sound machine off Amazon when we got tired of the smart speakers dropping audio every time the internet hiccuped. Each one had a fatal flaw. The smart speakers couldn't be trusted to actually play through the night. The cheap sound machine was reliable but had to be manually started and stopped every single night, and the sound quality was, being generous, about on par with a Google Home speaker. Then I bought a Hatch Restore 3 in late 2024, and the story changed. I used mine solo for about a year while my wife stuck with the cheap Amazon unit. This was her choice. She didn't think that the Hatch would provide much difference in sleep quality. Then one night she slept on my side of the bed. The next morning, she all but demanded I get her one of her own. The sound quality had put her into a depth of sleep she hadn't hit in years. We now have two Restore 3s on the nightstands, both in Cocoa. What actually makes it work: Sound: We both use Green Noise as our sleep sound, and it does something specific for an AuDHD brain that rain and white noise never quite did. It shuts down the overthinking center and lulls you down. The speaker is genuinely high quality, not a rebadged cheap driver, and because the core sounds are stored on the device itself, a flaky internet connection doesn't cut playback the way it did with our Google Homes. It just plays. The rise routine: This is where the Hatch earns its price tag. My current setup is a ten-minute sunrise on the Portland Lighthouse light preset, with Fisherman's Wharf (seagulls, water) as the wake audio. It ramps gently instead of detonating like an iPhone alarm. I rotate the light and sound combinations based on mood, which keeps it from going stale. Hold-to-dismiss + the light: This is the feature that changed my wife's mornings. Her pattern used to be: hear phone alarm, roll over, slap dismiss, fall back asleep with zero memory of having done it. With the Hatch, she gets two sensory streams at once, ten minutes of building light plus gentle sound, and by the time she reaches to dismiss, she actually has to hold the button. That extra second of required physical engagement means she's cognitively awake when she turns it off, not reflexively swatting at it. Look and feel: The Cocoa finish is genuinely nice, soft-touch plastic, understated, doesn't scream "gadget" on the nightstand. A few honest gripes: The alarm and schedule setup lives entirely in the app. The device has physical buttons for volume, brightness, pause/advance, and a quick alarm disable, but building or editing a routine requires your phone. If you're shopping for a simple, self-contained clock, this is the wrong product. For anyone already comfortable with app-managed devices, it's a non-issue, but it's worth calling out. My bigger wish is device linking. With two units in the same room, each alarm is managed independently. When one of us dismisses ours, the other keeps going. It's manageable, but I'd pay for a "paired bedroom" mode tomorrow. (Possible I'm missing it in settings, but I've looked.) We also had the six-month Hatch+ trial and used it for a while. The sleep stories and guided meditations are well produced, and I'd recommend them to anyone without an established wind-down routine. For us, we already have our own ritual, a separate galaxy light goes on as part of the lead-in, and we do our own meditations, so Hatch+ didn't stick. The good news is you don't need it. The built-in sounds, Green Noise, Portland Lighthouse, Fisherman's Wharf, the basics, are exactly what we use and they're included. That's the review. When a device quietly replaces three previous solutions, when your partner sleeps on it once and demands one of her own, when it becomes the thing you trust to actually run the routine every night without babysitting, you stop thinking about it. That's the highest compliment I can give a product at this price point. Photos/Video description: 1. Very Satisfied with my Hatch 3
I chose the Cocoa color and was happy to find that the color matched my nightstand. Iโve been able to use the sleep and rise features for the last week and it has improved my quality of sleep. I would recommend this product to someone looking for a premium way of improving their daily life. If you own premium bedding, pillows, and lighting, the Hatch 3 is a no-brainer addition. The Good: The product has a very nice surface feel and weight. The buttons and sliders have a nice tactile feel and I find myself fidgeting with them sometimes. Itโs a pretty decent size comparable to most bedside alarm clocks. Its lights are controllable and can be very bright. Its speaker is also controllable and can get very loud if needed. I am a heavy sleeper and the โbirdsโ wake up noise had no problem getting me awake. It has a wide variety of colors and prebuilt music, white noise, alarms and short stories. This is all done through the app. What I wish it had also: While the Hatch 3 runs through the app, I wouldโve liked ways to play my own music or use it easier without my phone. You can use the buttons to change between premade combinations but sometimes I wouldโve liked to use it as a bedside speaker or nightlight without using the app. Overall I am happy with my purchase. It is well made and improves my quality of life. Attached are photos of the hatch in bedside mode, color mode, lights and noise at night, the box, a rough size comparison to my hands(I have large hands) and some screenshots of the app.

Helped With Sleep Schedule
I've had the Hatch for almost a month now and it has definitely helped my sleep a lot! As someone who struggles a lot with falling asleep, I've tried a few different things that haven't worked, and the Hatch routines have already made a difference. It was very easy to customize the routine, and having the cue to help start the routine has really helped keep me on a better sleep schedule. I wish the box had come with more instructions as I've been figuring out a lot through the app & tiktok videos, but it has been quite easy to set up my custom routines once I got the hang of it. I love the amount of customizable features with the lights and sounds (as shown in the photo) and in addition to being functional, I love that it makes a cute addition to my nightstand :)

Best sleep Iโve gotten in years!
The Hatch Restore 3 is an incredible product, that has changed my nighttime routine and improved my mornings. I donโt want to include too many superlatives, but it has changed my life. The setup experience is where it all starts. After downloading the app, it was incredibly simple to put together a nighttime routine that matched my sleep goals. The hatch app asks a handful of questions (when do you want to go to sleep? Why are you looking to change your habits? Etc.) The entire setup takes less the 5 minutes and the app creates a tailored plan to help you achieve your goals. Once setup, youโre off to (sleep) races. Itโs easy to navigate from the wind down phase of your plan to the sleep portion by easily tapping the button on top of the speaker. My plan included first a reading light (since I wanted to spend more time reading before bed) and then 8 hours of โMalibu Oceanโ. The sound on the device is crisp and soothing, and itโs easy to quickly adjust the sound by turning the same button on top. Iโve also played a few of the wind down stories (hound of the Baskerville!) and the sound quality is too notch. The reading light is easily adjustable via the Hatch app as well. Thereโs a few options for reading lights - or you can adjust to any number of different colors with a couple of button taps. Iโve moved my lamp off my bedside table because I much prefer the reading light in the Hatch 3. The clock works well too - because itโs connected to your device thereโs no changing time for daylight savings etc. Itโs also super easy to choose when you want the clock to display and when you want to hide it. Bottom line - I was skeptical that this was the device that could get me to move my phone to another room at night. I was wrong. Iโm feeling more rested then ever, Iโve been freed from my nighttime doom scroll and instead have started reading, and Iโm getting up on time and ready to face the day. 5 stars - Iโm gonna need another one for my husbandโs side of the bed too.

Convenient Purchase
My experience has been quite good overall! I've been using the Hatch 3 for a few weeks now as my daily alarm as well a replacement for my bedside lamp, and it has been overall functional. I've had a few days where I don't wake up to the hatch alarm - I think I'm still adjusting to the ringer as opposed to my iPhone ringer, but nothing too serious as I set backup alarms. I've been enjoying the alarm options from motivational speeches to nature sounds (although those are quite soft). One feature I wish would be implemented would be the option for the light to remain on after turning off the alarm in the morning. Being in the dark again after waking up is too easy for me to fall back asleep. With a secondary function as a bedside lamp, it provide me with an ample amount of brightness for pre-bedtime doomscrolling. I also enjoy the winddown audios, especially the seaside noises. The ability to change the color of the light depending on my mood is also quite pleasant, although I wish there was a dial on the clock itself to switch the color rather than in the lamp. I think overall I wish the clock itself had more functionality without needing to use the app. If I had a night routine without my phone, it would be nice to be able to set alarms, adjust brightness, and change lamp colors not via the app, as that would disrupt my winddown.

Bedtime Routine Motivator
I seriously had no idea how much I would love this thing! I generally don't have trouble falling asleep (like, my watch says my average time to fall asleep is literally 1 minute ๐), but I DO struggle to get into bed. And I had no idea how much the Hatch would help with that. I have a set time that it will go off, lighting up my room with sunset lights and soothing music to encourage me to get in there and wind down. I spend that time journaling and praying, and then when I'm ready, I press a button, and it starts my night routine. I get to listen to one of my favorite comfort books for a short window (and it will let me know what I missed from yesterday at the beginning in case I fell asleep during the story, which is a huge plus lol), and then it supports my sleep with comforting campfire sounds (my choice, but there are tons of sounds to choose from). And then the wakeup alarm is BEAUTIFUL! It slowly lights up my room like a sunrise at whatever time I choose, and then when I actually set it to wake me up, I get eased awake with soft music, breathing exercises, pump-up jams, or whatever I choose. It seriously has eased stress and helped me get into a way better routine. The setup is simple (but take the questions about your sleep seriously because I haven't found a way to go back and change those) and fast. It does have to be plugged into the wall to work, but that's not an issue because it's completely eliminated my need to have my phone in my room! My phone now charges in my kitchen overnight, and I get some peaceful, uninterrupted time to myself each night and morning. It's seriously great. The app interface is a little clunky and hard to navigate sometimes, but you figure it out, and I'm sure that'll be improved soon. But the Hatch itself is so nice to have!

Misleading and disappointing
Very disappointing. The hardware is good but the app is unusable. There is a lot of potential in this product but they will only realise it when they throw out the current app and rebuild it with ease of use and flexibility in mind. Honestly this industry is begging for a competitor to come in and show us how this can be done well. Unfortunately Hatch is not that (yet? ๐ค). I'd love to return my Hatch 3 and wait for that competitor, maybe they never come but this $200 disappointment is not bringing me any joy.

Love it, worth the hype
Love this clock. It has made my morning wake up so much smoother, no jarring alarm. The ability to customize the length of the sunrise allows me to just look and see if itโs begun to know if I should go back to sleep. It facilitates habits of waking up at the same time. I have no complaints
