However, the fingerprint scanner could be better - it usually requires a second try to unlock. I found you need to line it up with the crease in the joint to get a consistent reading. The app functionality is decent when within bluetooth range, allowing remote control and access management, but it lacks some advanced features like smart home integration without purchasing an additional WiFi gateway. When adding the optional WIFI gateway you can access it an unlock the door remotely. This lock would be great for AirBNB rentals if you have the WIFI module. Bottom Line: This Smart Door Lock is a cost-effective option for those looking to upgrade to a keyless entry system. It's functional and easy to install, but there are trade-offs in terms of material quality and the reliability of the fingerprint scanner. If you're on a budget and don't mind these minor drawbacks, this lock provides good value for money. Keep in mind this is a passage lock only, so you will have no integrated deadbolt as other models have.

Installation was straightforward and at first I was very pleased. After only a couple of weeks, though, the lock stopped working from the outside. The fingerprint and code both register as accepted and the lock reports as open, but pressing the handle does nothing. It seemed a good value but as it's simply not reliable... I cant really recommend it.

I have used keyless door entry locks before as a guest entering buildings. In my opinion, this works very well. As far as the longevity of keyless door lock I would really have to use it for an extended period of time to see if it maintains the electronic functionality. For now, everything is working as it was described by the seller. The installation is fairly easy and the lock comes with multiple entry options.

It’s missing the WiFi functionality, but that is not a big deal!

UPDATE: I changed this to 5 stars! My daughter said it's been working great and they are very happy with this. At first it was a little glitchy for them, but she said it's been working great after the first few weeks. I think they just needed to get the hang of it. I used it the other day to let myself in to care for their dog, I had no issues getting in! I got this for one of our rental properties that my daughter and son-in-law happen to live in, my son-in-law installed this today and said it was easy to install and the directions were pretty straightforward. They already have their little girls fingerprints added, and it worked. My son-in-law said it's not the greatest quality, but not the worst either. That is the reason for four out of five stars. I will update this review after they've used it for a while because we can't fairly judge it on performance yet since it's only been a day. But, so far so good!
