This is an interesting lamp. Its got nifty features, such as a USB charging port, a night light, and a 1-hour shutoff timer button. However, what makes me the happiest about the lamp is that it has five color temperature settings.As an insufferable individual, I suffer from many afflictions, and migraines are a big problem. The lamp offers a VERY warm temperature option, which eliminates so much blue that it borders on orange. Warm light is easier on a migraine.However, such warm lighting can create difficulties for reading & viewing minor details on objects. The lamp has two more temperatures which are yellowish, perhaps meant to be soft white, a temperature which is similar to daylight, and a temperature which may appear blue. The final temperature is meant to be bright white, and it does its job.As for brightness, the lamp offers five more settings, which work on all five temperature settings. The brightest setting, on the bright white temperature, will light up half of a 10x10 room. The darkest setting, on the warm temperature setting, will barely light up two square feet around the lamp. The night light is that perfect level that makes it visible, but isn't going to light up any area around the lamp.I have the convoluted Magic Green Whoopitydoo Lamp, which is "seen on" TV. It runs on batteries, which is nice, but its brightest setting is not any brighter than this lamp's second-lowest setting on the warm temperature. This lamp is worth two of the "Magic" Lamp, and I would like to buy a second TaoTronics lamp, except I don't need an extra.This lamp would be a great gift, a great reading lamp, a great end-table lamp in a modern-style living room, and a perfect lamp for a dorm. The last suggestion is especially true because of the USB port, which saves space & opens up a power outlet.This lamp is definitely an impressive gadget. I say this with as honest an opinion as can be offered. First, I consider myself a lazy person; I have an illness which saps my energy, makes my muscles & joints sore, and makes life miserable. I also naturally dislike leaving reviews. If this lamp is driving me to leave a review, know that it must be something useful.

This is a great, solid little desk lamp. I read some reviews that said it was flimsy, but I don't find that at all. The base is heavy enough to keep it firmly on the desk even at its furthest extended position. The joints are put together well, so when you move it to a certain position, it stays where you put it. There are many settings for the types of light (reading, bright white, etc.) but these, for me, are pretty much overkill.- One of the reviewers said it doesn't move left-to-right, but it does swivel at the base, so that should help.- Also, some reviewers evaluated it as a lamp for a nightstand, but that's not what it is designed for. It's a desk lamp, and it's a great one.

I was quite impressed with the lamp right out of the box. It sits quite well on the table and doesn’t wobble at all.Since everything is touch they put in a nice little light on the lamp so you can find the ON and OFF switch at night. The quality seems built quite well. I do appreciate the dimming feature, but the night feature I don’t see much use for. It’s really to dim to read unless you are using it as a night light.The limitation is that the lamp stand can only move up and down, it will not move left or right.I guess if you’re using this lamp for reading only. It’s quite a decent lamp and there’s 30 months of warranty if you apply on their site.

As it features a wireless charger built into the base, this is an extremely convenient place to rest your phone and maintain its charge while you work at your desk. This is also designed with features in mind to be used on your night stand as a timer feature, blue-reducing night lighting, and even a small night light at the tip of the light can be useful bedside night time features in addition to wireless charging.One previous user noted that the light settings would cycle while charging a phone and did so even with replacement. I noticed that if my iPhone X / Xs was not positioned away from the buttons, the heat of the phone it seems could be misconstrued as my finger and the light did turn on spontaneously as the phone warmed up while charging. This may be more of an issue with extra large phones such as the iPhone Max sized phones.The wireless charger can charge through my Spigen Tough Armor case and has a small raised element that initially I wished sat flush with the base, but then realize it serves to keep the edges of the phone elevated from the buttons. I think this by design was to try to have a thermal air gap between a charging phone and the buttons which again works so long as the phone is oriented parallel and away from the buttons.One criticism that I have that keeps this light from being 5 stars is that the articulation of the light is a little stiff and difficult to maneuver without using two hands to stabilize the whole light. The arm swivels 360 degrees while the light hinge moves 180 degrees like a pair of scissors. It would be nice if the light head itself could tilt 45 degrees but it does not.Overall it is a functional and aesthetically clean and modern appearing light that overall serves a very functional purpose.#TheChanClan #TTDL038

Well made high tech light with many functions and different colors of white. No physical switches as all done with soft touch.A bit expensive but worth it.

Really versatile light / different light modes / brightness levels / phone charging. Could not work without it now.
