I am so glad I took the chance and ordered this blanket. I have a l lot of trouble sleeping and have tried many things over the years, but this blanket is the only thing that really helps with multiple issues. I use it on my half of the bed, sleeping on top of the comforter with just this blanket over me while my husband uses the regular sheets and comforter. I absolutely love that the blanket is zippered fully to the minky cover because nothing drives me more insane then a blanket sliding around and bunching up inside it's cover, which is a problem with other blankets that rely on a tie system (from friends who own other blankets I can confirm this is a common complaint). Now I can't speak yet about how it will hold up, but I will try to come back to updated this after about 6 months of use. It does have a slight crinkly noise to it, kind of like a sleeping bag, but it's not too bad.I have had insomnia since I was a little kid and the weighted blanket really helps me fall asleep much faster. It is a difference of it taking about 40 minutes to an hour to fall asleep, on a good night, down to about 10 minutes every night since I got this blanket 2 weeks ago.I also suffer from severe rheumatoid arthritis which can cause me to feel a lot of discomfort after staying in one position too long. This causes me to wake up on average about 5 times every night, usually taking about 15 minutes to fall back asleep after much tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. Since getting this blanket, though I do still wake up, I fall right back asleep after a quick re position.Just for fun, I also have an issue with hyperhidrosis, which is an issue where you sweat too much. This problem is never as bad as when I am trying to sleep. I usually wake up in a puddle of sweat, sorry for the over sharing here, making washing the bed linens a twice a week project. Since I started using a weighted blanket I do not sweat at all at night. Now granted, if an arm is sticking out I feel a little chilly, but if the trade off is that while falling asleep I don't get that comforter enveloped warmth but do get to stay dry all night it is an amazing upgrade.

First, when I started looking for a weighted blanket all I could find locally was the plastic beads. Since the squares were so big they tended to be lumpy. I don't do lumpy, I'm a bit texture sensitive. Not to mention plastic beads are huge and not environmentally smart. Now I did some additional research and with some common sense applied, I knew what I wanted. Did my searching and one day this one popped up with the right query. It was darn near perfect, It had glass beads in smaller cells then all the other blankes I had seen. It had a cover with it, heck it had 2, and thus another deficiency I saw with other blankets was solved. The cover stays in place! And it came with 2 as stated. Now I said it was darn near perfect... it has a bright orange zipper. Why? Im guessing a trademark thing? It come in one make, weight and model like a old ford.... think Model T... I really wanted a 20lbs, but with the winter cover it darn near weighs in at that. Other sizes /weights/Colors and loose the orange zipper and go matching, would take them to a true 5 star rating. The value rating is you would think, since there are cost saving from a manufacturing point of view, with 1 choice, one would think there might be a little more give on a home good. Some minor things would up quality, not that I saw anything suffering, would be double row stitching on zipper seams/Stress points and bigger zipper pulls cause my meaty fingers had a ruff time with it. Dont get me wrong guessing you went with Lady size fingers and a more flexible zipper. Time will be the quality judge of fabrics and stitching in general. You can rest assured they do quality checks, I spotted signs of rework that would have been a major quality issue had it been delivered that way. Note have rework employees remove strings as one got stuck in the zipper while inspecting blanket.

We gave it a solid three weeks testing and love it! It made our sleep much better and we didn't even know we needed it before. My husband said that this is by far the best purchase we've ever made on Amazon lol. We're new parents and haven't had a good night sleep for three months since our baby is born and this thing works wonders we really appreciate it! I came across the concept of weighted blanket during Prime week when another brand was on sale. Did a little search and found a whole lot of different brands with exactly the same product out there. We went with this one instead of the discounted one I saw first cause we really appreciate the originality of the zipper system. Here's the breakdown:PROs- Loved the zipper system. Definitely makes more sense to secure the weighted blanket in the cover with zipper instead of string ties/ hoops and buttons which can break easily under the weight. So far our blanket didn't shift even once in the cover.- Loved the 3 in squares. The weight feels super smooth and evenly distributed with no shifting inside the small squares.- Loved the one blanket and two covers package deal. All three are well made with color coded zippers. This brand might seem pricey at first but if you add up cost of other brands where covers are sold separately at 40 each this is a great deal!- Customer support was amazing. It felt like a family run business where they really care about us and stand by their product.CONs- We really can't think of a downside. It's currently sitting on top of everything on our bed so ideally we'd like the bright orange zipper to be more invisible. (a lighter or darker shade if grey maybe) But this is easily fixed but putting any kind of duvet cover on top.We've already been recommending this to friends and families and will come back and update after a couple of month!

After doing a lot of research on weighted blankets, I finally took the plunge and ordered this 60" x 80" 15lb blanket as a gift for my husband. I loved the concept of the zipper system on this product, and receiving two covers (minky and cotton) was the clincher for me. It arrived on February 18th, and my husband opened his gift on March 3rd. Upon opening the package, I realised I had received only a minky cover. He tried to sleep with the minky cover on the blanket that night, but as it was still quite hot here in Australia, he was unable to use it. I emailed amazon asking to have a cotton cover posted to me. I emailed again on 15th March and have still not received a response to either email.
