I had a much older Philips Norelco trimmer which I got more than ten years of good life out of before the battery finally started getting too weak to buzz my head in a single charge. This device is a radical improvement over the older device in every single way. I still buzz my head, maintain my beard and trim the ole schnozz and ears with this thing. It does great work and in fact I don't think I've had to charge it yet despite using it regularly for a few months now. The main device is well built and feels good in the hand. It comes with a variety of attachments so somebody with the know-how could produce a haircut much better than my back yard buzzcuts. Compared to my older model, the attachments are much easier to work with. The nose and ear trimmer in particular is much better designed. It's more comfortable and easier to clean. It's proven itself to be easy to clean and maintain plus the trimmer, attachments, charge cord and cleaning accessories all fit in the little travel case included with the trimmer. The case has room to spare and is easily used as a full grooming kit. I keep nail clippers, tweezers and a few other odds and ends in mine. In short, I'm very happy with this device and expect to get several years out of it. The mechanics are easily robust enough for that and the battery is much higher capacity than my older model.
