Umai is very good.
Flavors and seasonings are just right. Very easy to prepare without a lot of onions which I appreciate. It’s great for a delicious mid afternoon snack.

About $1.87 per one cup serving...really great instant miso soup!
Can't resist trying new food items & beverages, and I really enjoy miso soups. I was snagged to try this variety pack. It says it's from China, but as good as any Japanese miso soup I've had. I confess that I only tried one packet this evening after receiving my order yesterday. Unfortunately there are no instructions in English but the info for the products says 8 one cup servings, so I used 1 cup of boiling water. I also did add some finely diced/cut celery, a leaf each of napa & green cabbage finely cut & a chopped scallion. When ready I added a dash of Shichimi tōgarashi for a little heat & spice. I tasted it without & it was also delicious. I'm really looking forward to trying the other flavor combos. This vegetable version was terrific!

very flavorful but it shot my BP up too much..hadn't any idea how much sodium is in Miso

Easy soup
Incredibly convenient, just add hot water and stir. The soup is delicious. Comes in little packets that is easy to carry.

Doesn't dissolve and lacks flavor
This soup is off. After mixing with hot water (~200°F), it just sinks to the bottom instead of dissolving. It’s almost like it’s oil-based and refuses to blend. Flavor-wise, there’s very little umami for a miso product. I’ve tried a lot of freeze-dried miso and routinely go back to certain brands — this isn’t one of them. Disappointed and won’t repurchase. Not sure how it’s getting so many positive reviews.

Variety of Dried Miso Soups
With all these flavors, I just couldn’t decide which one to get, so I’m glad they had the variety pack. Very easy to use, can add extra ingredients of your own to these soups. They are individual serving size packets that taste great.
