how do you get peaches to grow from seed I only know eatable fruit have to be grafted

Larry, you can grow from seed but the fruit you get will be unpredictable along with any possible susceptibilities to disease. Stone fruits like peaches will "come true" better than pomes like apples and pears so the fruit could be similar to the fruit you ate. You need to get the pit and crack it open with a pair of pliers or a nutcracker. If the seed inside is all shriveled up try a few more until one looks full and healthy. Soak in water for 1-24 hours. Then wrap in a moist paper towel and seal with some air left in a sandwich bag or small container in the fridge for 1-3 months until it sprouts. Then plant...boom! Peach tree! I have a bunch growing now.

Dwarf trees are standard trees grafted to a smaller root stock. They don't grow from seed.

It's supposed to be edible. However my seeds never grew so don't waste your time
