Worth every penny
Easy to use. GREAT Quality Images. I had been using a full size Photo & Document Scanner, which died. So, I bought this & a portable document scanner. Less in cost overall. VERY happy with this product..

This is an OK slide viewer with room for improvement
The last time I used a slide viewer, it was only battery operated and with an incandescent bulb. Then, along came digital cameras and viewing slides became less important. Now, however, we have many slides from our past adventures and before I go to the trouble of scanning them, I wanted to see if they are worthwhile scanning – hence, the new slide/film viewer which operates with a USB-A cable using a 6-volt charging block (not provided, see CONS) or AA batteries. One thing this viewer lacks that my old viewer had was a hopper for the slides to be viewed. This viewer has a small hopper for viewed slides but each slide must be placed in the viewer individually. All in all, this viewer does work, just not as efficiently as I would have expected and, yes, I have been spoiled by digital photos where viewing and slideshows are much easier to do.PROS• Dual power via a USB cable and a 6-volt power source (the latter is not provided) or AA batteries.• Clear, bright, unwavering LED light (photo).• Hopper for viewed slides.CONS• A 6-volt charging block is not provided and many charging blocks seem to provide 5 volts.• No hopper for the slides to be viewed.

Very Cool Analog Device for Looking at Old Slides/Film Strips
The media could not be loaded. This device is pretty cool. It allows you to view magnified visuals of old projector slides and undeveloped film strips. Admittedly, film strips will still look like negatives, but it is nice to see old images from my childhood of disposable cameras (many of which I still have the film strips from). It feels a bit like an older style device, which is a nice change from digital everything!Although I really like this device and am happy I ordered it, I have three issues with it:1. Upon opening it, the two main parts had separated during shipping, exposing the internal components (wires and whatnot), and one of the plastic tabs to keep the parts secure was partially damaged. It could do with some better packaging inside its box.2. There is some dust on the inside of the lens (which probably happened when the parts separated during shipping).3. The film slot is a bit too small, making it somewhat hard to run them through it if they are at all curled or bent. The problems are minor, but there is room for improvement.

Sturdy, portable slide viewer at a good value
I chose this slide viewer to comb through loads of old family slides at my mother’s home. Unfortunately, I have not yet had a chance to do so, but I have had a chance to examine this little gadget. The viewer is surprisingly well-constructed of a sturdy plastic. It offers lighted, 2x magnification, and is easy to use. It even includes the batteries. If you’re looking for a small, portable slide viewer, this one offers good value!

Simple, does the job.
My mom has boxes of slides and film that it's really hard to see without a light, and we really just wanted a bit of magnification to be able to go through them, particularly for any reprints, and this does the job. Really straight forward, barely needed a manual. The light was sufficiently bright, just works for our intended purpose. The version we picked up isn't a scanner so I can't speak to that end.Colors and everything are represented accurately due to the simplicity of the design, doesn't invert colors for film, but you can use apps on your phone for inverting as needed. Overall really fun and useful.
