It is not loose leaf. It is leaf roasted or dried and rough ground. It needs to be steeped . My experience is 3 minutes after pouring in hot barely boiling water. Please cover teapot with a tea cozy. Mix a bit of hot milk and a spoon of sugar to a cup of filtered tea and enjoy the cup early morning from your patio..
