TEARELAE Ginseng Tea, 40 Herbal Tea Bags, Smooth Mild Aroma

This review is for the Ginseng Tea 40 Count tea bags. Immediately upon opening the bag, I smelled the familiar smell of ginseng. There's no mistaking that it is ginseng, and it looks and tastes like an American ginseng, not Korean red panax. Nothing wrong with that. The two types of ginseng are good. Flavor was good. A bit sweet, but that's pretty typical of ginseng. The tea bags contained an adequate supply for an 8 ounce cup of tea. The brewing instructions say to put it in a cup of boiling water and steep for 8 minutes. I tried that, and it worked. The tea looked pale yellowish and had a moderate taste of ginseng (not weak, not strong). For stronger flavor, just put in more than one tea bag. They sliced the little flakes of ginseng paper thin, so it cuts down on the time you need to brew. But, if you want the biggest bang for the buck, you will want to brew it in a more traditional way. You can brew it on the stove top in a small pot. Put in about 2 cups of water. Bring the water to a boil. Then cut the tea bag and drop the contents into the boiling water. Continue boiling for about 30 minutes, or until you're left with about 1 cup of tea. This is the herbal decoction method of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I actually prefer another way to brew it: Take a thermos and put some boiling water into it. Wait about 5 minutes. Then dump the water out completely. That pre-heats the thermos. Then immediately drop the contents of the tea bag into the thermos along with 1 cup of boiling water into the thermos. Close the top. Shake well. Leave for at least an hour. I actually leave it overnight. Come back the next day and pour it into a cup, straining off the solids as you do that. This will get the most out of the ginseng. And then you just add whatever sweetener you want, and a squirt of lemon. You got yourself a nice tasting ginseng tea.

My son wanted to try this after rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender, and he loved it. I love Ginseng tea, and this was much better tasting than most of the brands I've found locally. We will be ordering more soon. Price is great and while it is great neat, it's even better with a little lemon and honey. Perfect for unwinding before bed. The bags are quite prone to tearing, but that is an issue so common with tea that's been shipped during a heatwave that I can't take off any stars for that.

The taste is not as I expected, a little bit too sweet, the tea bag is too large.

I've had numerous products to fall short of their expectation over the years. Therefore, I ignored, for years, what I'd read and heard about Ginseng boosting your energy level and increasing mental clarity. I've always been in inflexible workaholic, so I finally decided to try some Ginseng a few months ago. After a relative short length of time, I began to noticed how much more energy that I had and an improvement in my mental clarity. Since I first began to use it, I've re-ordered it a few times and will continue to do so. Wow!

Looking after my health is imperative for me and Ginseng is doing wonders for me and for my loved ones.

The font of the package says 100% Canadian Ginseng tea and then when you look at the back it says manufactured and distributed by a company in China. At the very least be honest about what your product is and where it comes from. Just a bit strange. As for the tea itself the teabags look heavily bleached, I decided to cut them open and pour the ginseng in. I can't speak for the quality of the ginseng but it tastes strong and delicious. Will not buy this product again. Will buy pure ginseng next time and make the tea myself. Probably a better way to go.
