4711 by Muelhens Eau De Cologne for Unisex, 5.1 Ounce

I’ve used this particular cologne for decades. I needed to replace a small bottle of cologne that would fit in my Dopp kit when I travel that had a secure screw cap. I found this, my favorite cologne, on Amazon in a small bottle and a screw cap. I purchased it, it works great and I feel like it’s secure because of the sturdy cap.

I bought this on a whim, I wanted to smell a perfume that has managed to stay in production for 200 years could possibly be. I was pleasantly surprised it is a very refreshing scent and great for the summer heat. What I didn’t expect was how much my boyfriend would love it on me. He can’t get enough of it, I catch him inhaling deeply every time he hugs me. Today he finally asked what I’ve been wearing bc I smell incredible this is at 3 in the afternoon and mind you I put it on at 5am so I would say it lasts a pretty long time on me. Give it a try.

This is the best value for the authentic cologne. With this size you can divide into your own glass spray values and share with family and friends. This is a unisex clean smell. I also use this to spray my bed linens

Before I get started I just wanted to say that this version of the cologne is not in a spray bottle so don't order this one if you are looking for a spray. The bottle has a cap with an opening and you have to dab the cologne on you or apply it to something and put it on. At first smelling the bottle, I wasn't sure I liked the scent. I had someone else smell it and she said it was nice and came off like lemons and lime and very clean. I applied some of the cologne to my skin. After awhile, the scent warmed up to a "suntan lotion" smell with my particular body chemistry. I was pleased because that smell is one of my favorites. I did notice though that it was very light. I am more used to a cologne or perfume that "screams" at you and is a little brighter generally with notes of sandalwood. I thought the value for the bottle was pretty good because I have bought scents that contained alot less for a higher price. My worst complaint is that the scent is just a hint and not bolder for as good as it smells.

Light fresh citrus, reminds me of 7Up soda but it’s still elegant and understated. Wonderful scent created 234 yrs ago.

This is definitely a throwback scent with an old time barbershop vibe. I wish it had longer staying power, but I can't complain due to the pleasant scent, reasonable price and large size bottles available.

I've been happily wearing this cologne all my adult life (I'm 73). And I don't mind that the scent doesn't last very long, a complaint of other buyers. It's easy to reapply it during the day if necessary. Most other men's colognes are so cloying and much too persistent. You can't wash off the smell; you apply it with your hands, then later you hold the steering wheel, and now the steering wheel smells from cologne. But the last few bottles of this that I bought have virtually no scent to them. The first time I assumed something happened to the bottle in shipping, maybe left in an un-air conditioned truck in summer heat or something. But the next bottles I bought also have almost no scent. It's almost like bottles of water. The spray version is a little better, not much; but a relative brought back a spray version from Germany where he bought it for me, and the scent is also weak and also very different from what I've been used to. Same style printed on the label. Something has gone very wrong with 4711. I wasted lots of money on three big bottles of this stuff, and now with greatest reluctance I must switch to some other cologne. I suspect the company is trying to save money by reducing the aroma-producing ingredients, but they just ruined a wonderful product.

Here's the story: I have tried shopping for men's colognes, for myself, a number of times. Usually, I can't stand the stuff. I have taken whiffs of designer colognes, at Macy's, no less. Not really impressed. Usually, smells the same to me, like a used car salesman, with slicked back hair, and a loud suit. Kind of heavy, too. In fact, no matter where I shopped, sales, discounts outlets, nope. I got a link in my FaceBook feed to this product. I've never noticed it in stores around here- maybe I have to look harder. So I bought a tiny bottle, blind, taking a chance, for $13.70, with the tax. If I didn't like it, I figured I'd use it for car air freshener. The moment I opened it up- wow! What a difference! This is way better than the overpriced junk they are pushing! Nice and fresh. Other stuff I feel would often clash with food aromas, for example. It's marketed as 'unisex.' Really, I think the usual designer 'men's' stuff smells more effeminate. 4711, is kind of neutral/attractive. By comparison, miles better than Old Spice, and lots nicer than Royal Copenhagen. One of the better things I've spent my hard-earned cash on!

Sent très bon mais ne tient pas. S'évapore très vite ce qui est propre au produit mais surprend quand même.
