Jeepers Creepers 3 [DVD]

If Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" was a Horror movie...
Jeepers Creepers 3 was supposed to be the chapter to finally give us backstory on the monster. There's at least 40 minutes of film here teasing up to and suggesting we are going to learn something significant. Instead of being given anything fulfilling, the writers pull an Uno reverse card and place this movie in the middle of the series between 1 and 2. Nearly an hour of buildup is abandoned, and the film ends where the second one picks up.The viewer is left with nearly two hours of discombobulated ideas. It seems as if the writers had a few decent scenes on paper, but had no idea how to make them into a feature film. There are no transitions between scenes, and you are left confused trying to piece it all together in the end.The little bit of character that was given to the monster doesn't make up for the lack of story. It's as if the producers were scared to make any big/significant decisions about the lore.

This movie is an absolute disaster
How is it possible for the 1st & 2nd jeepers creepers (which were made in 2001 & 2003) to have better production and special effects than the 3rd which was made in 2017? I legit can not wrap my brain around how atrocious this movie was….The production value was so piss poor that this thing comes off as a comical parody rather than a sequel in a horror series. The only way to truly understand just how bad it is would be to watch it for yourself… but that’s an hour and thirty minutes of your life that you’ll regret wasting on this garbage.

It was a good movie
I just saw this movie. It was a pretty good movie. I don't see what all of the hate was about. I don't see it as better or worse than the other two. I saw this one as a story which added more depth to the story-line. It connected one and two together. Good tie end at the end as well. I was wondering what would happen to the person who wasn't afraid of it and fought back. Glad that this question was answered. He fought that person warrior style. This is akin to the predator taking off his weapons and fighting Dutch hand to hand, except for the fact that the Creeper had his ax and the guy had a Gatling-gun. I liked that part as I didn't know how that would turn out. My complaints: I believe that the Creeper kind of got out of character when he walked up to the sign. By the way that he walked, he looked more like a person in costume walking up to the sign because he lost his menacing persona for a few seconds. (not too bad). Second, how in the blue hell could he get caught up in his own trap? Anyways, great performances by everyone. Third, please ditch the engine not starting horror cliche. Do something instead like in the second one where the Creeper peels back the roof of the car like a sardine can. That thrilled and amazed the hell out of me. Amaze and shock us with feats of the Creeper. Since the last one is coming, give us closure on the Creeper. Why was he angry when the people learned about him? What does he have to hide? Johnathan as always it was great seeing him as the Creeper. P.S: The last one must be the best one. Hopefully you guys can get a great budget so that this thing can go out with a foot up our asses so strong that we will still be feeling it after the movie. If it does well, it will possible be considered as another great horror franchise. Possibly a classic franchise with a huge cult following. If not, it will be the great franchise that failed.

The writer has sophomoric abilities/
I loved the first 2. OMG. Only a person that has not grew up watching scary movie in the US could write something so basic and 1940's scary. As Americans we have an evolution of tolerance to things. Like cars, driving, computers, music. 1.) a spear that goes up after it hits a person. where it would lift up because gravity goes in verse for the spear. 2.) the steal truck is harder than a tank and thinner. humm 3.) The spikes that are half the length of the truck and has to be nano tech or magic. 4.) the smart bombs that have to be better then what we have now and much older? 5.) The truck is alive? or its from the future? 6.) Bone is stronger than steal? 7.) the gun blows up like a cartoon? 8.) now he flies in the day light? 9.) his personality has changed? 10.) He cries about his chopped off hand but not those either parts, ever? 11.) Then is hand turns to dust when it was just alive a few hours ago? 12.) Now he can read? 13.) He's more bold then the last 2 movies because no one has kryptonite, after thousands of years before?Hell i could have wrote a better movie! and I cant even spell very well.

Not bad but not what I had hoped for.
On it's own not a bad horror movie, not great though. The Creeper in the first two movies was just so much more of a vicious character. In my mind he became the standard of all evil supernatural villains. In this movie he seemed like a grumpy human with a serious skin condition. The depth of his evil side was missing. Not sure if it was because most of his shots were in the daylight and he just didn't look the same but in Jeepers Creepers 2 he was just the epitome of evil. Oh well. My advice is to not waste your money and wait to see it free someplace.

Not a Corny Sequel
At first, I was not sure what I would think of Jeepers Creepers III. I somewhat expected a lot of corny moments where Part III was just riding the coattails of the previous sequels. I was pleasantly surprised. I had always wanted to know more lore behind The Creeper. I wish the film had showed some of what the characters saw, though I appreciate that what they saw was explained out loud-in dialogue. Plus, I adore when movies tie in their other parts the way that Part III tied in the bus going to the game which is the bus that is coming home from the game in Part II.

A sad entry
I thought the Jeepers Creepers movie's might have had a shot at a good string of films, the premise of eating for 23 days every 23 years was a little different, and the Creeper was a very intense and demonic character. The ifrst film was very good and the acting was great as well. The second was also entertaining with a much different feel to it as it took place largely within the confines of a school bus.Unfortunately, the 3rd film is by far the weakest entry, with a lot of bad acting and an obviously low budget. This most likely has killed the franchise off, which it probably deserves at this point.

Other than that I loved it!
I love this movie literally picks up where the first movie ends. That's as good as the movie gets. There are so many plot holes it defies belief that when the film makers sat down to review that that could honestly be happy..1. From time to time the Creeper looses parts of himself, he eats to replace. But now, we have him returning for a hand 23 years later. Come on!2. The hand has life, fair enough we could perhaps believe that but, haw does the hand defy physics and float whilst holding a full grown person???3. So much more dread could have been made of the horrible biker guy when he is caught by the Creeper. I was thinking, ah yes, i remember what you said about the rabbit. I fully expected the Creeper to return to the truck, to see this guy pleading for his life, but no, another lost moment.4. Kid gets on the bus at the end, nice twist, but if you go on to watch number 2, it doesn't work out - like that kid isn't gonna be screaming he knows who's out there.5. The truck - OMG, i started laughing at one stage. You have a mille gun with bullets the size of hotdogs that looks like it can take out a tank, and yet they bounce off the wind screen of the truck lllloooolll.6. Kid on a motor bike. How high does that kid jump - 40, 50ft? And what is it that actually grabs him? You see, this is where the movie gets it so wrong. The first movie has you thinking that if the kids can get a head start, get away, they have a chance of escape. But in this, you know the kid could jump on a rocket, travel for 2 hours and the creeper would will suddenly appear right behind him.7. Massive lead-up to understand Creeper origins only for nothing to happen. Why make us go through the pain of seeing two characters holding the hand, just not to be told what they saw? All though to be fair, the Creeper does look upset when he finds the note to say they know what he is lol.8. Did i mention the truck?9. Good to see Meg Foster still getting roles because of her ever lasting creepy eyes. In fact, Meg's eyes stole the movie.

Big disappointment!
There are precisely zero extras on this blu-ray, there is only one menu item; "Play". I am a sucker for extra material, interviews with the actors, behind the scenes, etc., but that's not why I'm dissing the movie. I thoroughly loved the first two installments of this franchise, but this is just sad. I was so excited about this movie for sooo long, and then this... this is just downright pitiful. I had preordered the disc and had not read any reviews of it beforehand, so that's not it. At a point in the movie the creeper throws a tankertruck(!) from the rear, just flips it over like it was a spoon. At that point I was thinking, this is just too stupid. It was bad with some of what the creeper survives in the second one, but that is nothing compared to this. Most effects are well done in this movie, the plot is a little stupid but almost OK. So, why not rate it as "It's OK", and not "I don't like it"? Well to be honest, this whole movie smells like there's going to be an unrated edition coming out, with extras and deleted scenes, cashing in twice on the suckers (like me) who preordered in good faith. I think it's disrespectful and disloyal to the fans, who really wanted this to be good, and is an indication that the powers that be knew they had a dud on their hands. My advice is: Only buy this movie if an unrated edition with extra footage and bonus material comes out.

Jeepers Creepers 1.5.
Jeepers Creepers 3.Certificate: 15/RGenre: Horror.Running Tine 97 Minutes.Synopsis.Sgt Davis Tubbs assembles a task force to destroy the Creeper once & for all while growing closer than ever before to learning the secrets of its dark origins, as the Creeper terrorizes a local farming community.Timelord Thoughts.I was really looking forward to watching Jeepers Creepers 3 as I very much enjoyed Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2 , sadly this third installment which should have be titled Jeepers Creepers 1.5 because it's shoehorned in between the first & second movies was disappointing, it promised much but delivered very little. The movie teases the Creepers origins where we learn the Creepers hand was buried in a field that is dug up 23 years later & when touched gives you the backstory of The Creepers origins, however two characters touch the hand & neither experience is revealed to the audience, which makes the plot redundant as we learn nothing new about what the Creeper is or where it came from. There's a few fleeting scary moments & the booby trapped Creeper truck is a nice addition but the movie lacks gory kills & somehow the whole story doesn't gel together, the characters are bland & I didn't care about there fates, Gina Philips is wasted by appearing for literally 30 seconds at the climax reprising her role as Trish Jenner just to bridge the gap to set up another inevitable sequel.Jonathan Breck as the Creeper is excellent & he looks menacing with his physical movements adding a chill factor to the character, it's just a shame that the script lets the character down, the Creeper kills but doesn't replenish his health like in the first two films which is a badly overlooked plot device because the whole point of the Creeper killing is to regenerate his organs by stalking his victims & chose those who he can smell fear within.Victor Salva who wrote & directed all three movies conjures up a few nice shots & manages to capture a few moments of creepy imagery but doesn't follow through on what is set up & the movie lacks a satisfying climatic payoff no doubt due to the tight budget restraints, Sgt Davis Tubbs (Brandon Smith returning from the original movie) assembles a task force to destroy the Creeper but this task force is barely seen & when they do appear there reduced to only a couple of men.Overall, Jeepers Creepers 3 is a disappointment & feels like a rough first draft more than a complete movie, it teases something good but doesn't follow through on the pay off, If the Jeepers Creepers franchise is to continue it needs to give some backstory about what the Creeper actually is because this underwhelming effort lacks drama, emotion, scares & suspense.

Half decent sequel
A long time coming, JC3 had a lot to live up to. What reviews I've seen had been terrible so I had low expectations but I can say I was pleasantly surprised. It's nowhere near as good (or scary) as the first film but I'd say it's on a par with part two, i.e. there are some cool bits and there are some terrible bits. Mostly to do with characterisation. The good: The creeper mobile it turns out is rigged with booby traps, as some inept cops discover. This is where the franchise grows and stops itself falling into the trap of sequels that simply rehash the original. The film is also set right after the end of the first film and links into part two, which is interesting, as long as you don't think too much about timelines. The kills and the cinematography are nicely staged - Victor Salva doesn't get enough credit for this as a director. The bad: Though the kills & stunts are good, the CGI lets it down a bit. A bigger budget would have helped in this regard as sometimes it is a bit 'straight to video'. The writing is pretty bad: the film flicks between several different (and frankly dumb) characters and POVs seemingly at random and anytime anyone opens their mouth you cringe at the dialogue. There's a crazy grandmother on a farm, her granddaughter who promtly gets snatched by the creeper, and a couple of cops who are friends for reasons we never really discover. A big thing is made of how if you touch the severed hand of the creeper you see where it originally came from. The problem is, though several people touch it, you never actually see what they see (maybe the scene was cut or maybe they ran out of money and never filmed it. Who knows?). But it's a gaping hole. Lastly, there's a couple of jokey scenes with the creeper and that's when you know a horror franchise has gone off the rails (see Nightmare on Elm St or Friday the 13th: they started scary but the sequels all ended up as comedies). So: a bit of a mess, but when it works it's as good as anything in the first two films. A car chase that goes horribly wrong and a guy getting speared in the leg while his mates try to extract him are a highlight. It's a shame it doesn't all gel together as a whole...but it does promise a part 4, which DOES look interesting.

Awesome badass creeper
I am a hardcore fan of Jeepers Creepers and couldn't wait to watch the 3rd installment. Nothing will ever be as good as the first, but i do enjoy both the 2nd and the 3rd. He's more badass in this than scary with his up to date truck and all the weapons he uses. I wish we got to see him eat people as that's what he does and what brings the horror element into it but i enjoyed the link between the first and second combined in this one. Finishes on a cliffhanger. Can't wait for the fourth!Arrived in good packaging. Works perfectly. Good seller.
