Better The Day - Kids Invisible Floating Bookshelf Clear Acrylic Wall Shelf

I read the negative reviews and here is what I have to say. When the shelf arrives it looks scratched and cloudy but when you remove the plastic film from the inside and outside of the shelf it's very clear. This shelf seems to be made of plastic so I would not hang it low where a child would try to hang from it. After looking at all the clear floating shelves on amazon this was the ONLY one I found where people did not complain of books falling off the ledge. The front lip is high and I don't foresee any problems of books falling. Now I'm giving it 4 stars because I think it's over priced!! I like the shelves but I don't understand why it cost so much?!?! It should at least be half the price. They look good but I am still embarrassed to tell people how much I spent on them.UpdateAfter learning more about the company I understand why they are priced high. It is a small business created by a stay at home mom who noticed her child read more when the books were displayed. I have always preferred to shop with small businesses even if I have to pay slightly higher prices.

Just hung these shelves in my toddlers room. I love them and they hold more books then I thought!update: shelves didn't last long with my toddler he already has one broken.. Not as sturdy as I once thought.

Beautiful shelves. Game well packaged and once the film was removed (on both sides!), it was a flawless finish. Very sturdy and my two year old loves pulling books from her two shelves! We did have to teach her to "slide" the books off so that she doesn't topple all the books onto her as she grabs one in the back. But it's a life skill, so we're totally ok with that. :)We purchased two 18" shelves for our small space and stacked books 3 or 4 deep to allow for some wiggle room. Easily allows 3 across, so in total our two shelves hold about 15-20 books.

I bought this shelf to help me get some of the knickknacks up and off my desk in my office. It's perfect as, not only is my desk cleaner now but my art and trinkets are showcased and I don't worry that they'll fall off the shelf and break if I'm having a frenzied work day. They're now at eye level and I can enjoy them whenever I need an eye and brain break. I'm already thinking of places that I could use them other than in my office. I'm thinking that I might get one for my bathroom to put nail polishes out. I think that would be cute.If I put one in the living room, I could rotate artwork on it seasonally. In the kitchen, it might be great for putting my often used spices on. It's the right depth to put spices 2-3 deep.

I love the look of these bookshelves! The books look so cute displayed on the wall. The product material is strong enough for the smaller/lighter books. Too much weight will cause the base to sag, and the books fall over the ledge. I would order these again!

So we just put our bookshelf up with about 6 to 7 kids books two of those were paperbacks, and well it's didn't last a day. I will say that it's a beautiful shelf but it's just not durable at all.

These in theory are a neat idea however the sizes aren't in line with normal stud spacing in most houses so it has to anchor directly into the drywall it comes with some hardware to do this but doesn't seem like the sturdy way to do it and if you have an active kid like mine these are perfect for practicing rock climbing skills....just a bad idea unless you put them really high or have much much older less hazardous children.....I ordered 2 of the smaller ones and 2 of the larger the smaller ones came in fine but the larger one had the corner broken off when I got it....I saw that people were getting them in broke and I chanced it and 1out of the 4 were broken

The shelf was extremely easy to install and looks nice. My toddler can see almost all of his book choices as we read at bedtime. I give it 4 stars because the books are always falling forward and I have to lean them back and readjust the order so this doesn't happen. They haven't fallen off of the shelf yet but they tip forward so it looks like they might and you can no longer read the front covers clearly.
