Better than the rest
I’ve tried pretty much every one of these kinds of things on the market and this is the closest one that does what it says it’ll do. Now it does not cut the daytime glare and the nighttime shining lights from other cars 100% but I will say it cuts at about 50% which for me makes me able to drive during those times. So while it’s not perfect it got me back on the road and I’m very happy with it. Just a tip, if you’re having trouble with nighttime glare from other peoples headlights try sitting up as tall as you can in the seat so you’re looking over the lights as opposed to straight in. I’m not exactly short but I’m just at that height where if I sit up straight, it does help to cut the glare about 30%. I learned this when my tall passenger friend kept telling me that the lights weren’t bothering him at all. I know it’s different in that seat but looking over at him is when it dawned on me that his line of vision is above the headlights.

Only viable in very selective applications
I saw this product on TV an decided to give it a try. Was completely disappointed in both fit and function. I drive a Nissan vehicle and I would caution anyone with that make to consider long and very hard before spending your money on this visor. It was relatively easy to install. Once installed, I discovered that the swing of the OEM visor was limited considerably. I am relatively tall and when I tried swing the OEM visor down, it was so restricted that I could not see out of the windshield. When the complete assembly was in the retracted position, I was concerned about the edges of both visors in the event of a forward collision. It seemed to me that they might cause considerable injury. Even more disappointing was the function of the dark visor. While it does darken what you see, It did not remove reflected glare, as claimed on TV. I’ve got a set polarized sunglasses that do a much better job of reducing glare. In the spirit of full disclosure, I may not understand the advantage that the night vision visor is supposed to offer. I really could not tell much difference in the glare coming from oncoming traffic. I did not test the visor in extended (greater than 100 miles) driving. It is possible that the night vision might offer a reduction in eye fatigue. I cannot attest to that, however. One really quirky and somewhat irritating problem with this assembly is that caused by the clear plastic used for the visor swivels. When the dark visor is down, this swivel can transmit sunlight into the driver’s eyes. If all else worked as advertised, this design problem would be a deal breaker. Save your money … this product does not seem to work as advertised. I’m hoping that it can be returned.

Good visor
Original review: To be far I haven’t driven at night since I installed my visor.I like the daytime visor. It works very well reducing glare. I like that I don’t lose half my view of the road by using my car’s sun visor. Two complaints though. The visor is small. It leaves a lot of space around the edges that aren’t covered so depending on where the sun is, you might not get coverage. I tried to adjust it but given my car’s visor mirror I couldn’t move the Tacvisor. I ended up pulling the car’s visor out of its bracket so I could move the tacvisor around a little. It’s a fix but not a perfect one. It has its own issues. Also being small means if you don’t sit high up in your seat the visor will not provide coverage and you will be looking under the visor. I had to adjust my seat so I was sitting higher. I had to get used to sitting closer to the roof of my car. I usually sit viewing well over the steering wheel in the middle upper half of the windshield. But I have to sit higher now.So to sum up, the visor itself works well but it is too small to work well for all sections of my view. Also I drive a Subaru Legacy. I don’t have a huge windshield so I’m not asking for it to cover the equivalent of a school bus wind shield. If they ever offer a larger size I’d recommend getting it.UPDATE: 04/04/23- after almost a year later, the Tacvisor is sitting on the floor of my car. I got tired of it falling off the car visor and into my lap as I was driving. I don't know if it's a Subaru issue, but my visor seems too thick to keep the Tacvisor in place. Maybe it's the mirror that's in the visor that makes it too fat. I tried holding it up with large rubber bands and it worked for a while but then they broke. I'm reducing my stars to three.

I love it. Mom doesn't.
Pics: sunshine through visor; rainy day without visor; rainy day through visor; daytime headlights through visor; night time headlights through the visor. Last three - I took the pictures with my camera right up to the visor.I've been using one for a long time and I love it! The blinding headlights coming at me and the sun blasting in my eyes are the most annoying things, so this is great! I can actually see the road still when a car with bright lights passes me.One negative thing is that it pulls the shade flap down so that it hangs a bit in the way. I have an extra shade pull, so I was able to prop it up by putting that behind the rearview mirror. My mom doesn't like it. I bought one for her as a gift, but she says it's just not something she can get used to. It makes the area right in front of the car about 20% darker.

It works -- dilutes glare -- driving become safer
I regularly drive at roughly 8:00 a.m. in the direction of the sun. That produces a dangerous situation. With one hand I am steering and the other I am protecting eyes so I can see where I am going. The car's visor does not go low enough for protection. So I got one of these. When I am driving into the sun I flip it down and most of the glare is gone; it is just light. That is successful. You might want to check your car to see if you can install it. The projected way to install would not work in my car because the car's visor did not have enough space between it and the ceiling for installation. So I installed it from the front instead. I can do that because the visor is large enough to keep the TAC Visor in place. It also makes it possible for me to drop the TAC Visor down lower than would have been possible. That is a benefit. The visor in my car is big enough to hold the TAC Visor securely. So it is good all around.
