Very easy to fit ....15 minutes (5 minutes of that time removing old seat and making sure the hinge area was clean dry and grease free so that the adhesive of the new hinges would adhere properly. Solid construction so be aware that there is no slow close on the hinges (much prefer the way it is as slow close wouldn't last that long with such a solid seat and lid anyway). Positioning was easy with the underneath fixing method.

When this arrived my immediate thought was that it was much heavier than I had expected and, once I removed it from the box, that it would be frustrating to install. The reason the seat is heavy is that it is wooden and really quite good quality. My concern about the installation was also misplaced as it was pretty easy to fit, comes with instructions and everything you need so no tool kit required..... just patience. The seat doesn't wobble and fitted exactly. My only slight disappointment is the colour as the Quartz White isn't a brilliant/true white, but has a grey-tinge due to the glitter effect. It's still very nice and goes well in my bathroom, but if you're looking for a bright white you may find this isn't for you.

Firstly - great heavy loo seat. I am a bling queen so was expecting disco ball - was tame for me! Sparkle Shimmer rather than glitter. It's easy enough to figure out what to do as instructions clear (I'm a woman and managed by myself). My loo is bottom fix and only reason for losing a star is it is a pain checking alignment before you press down on the circular pads. At one point there was a three inch overhang at the front so you HAVE to make sure you have it aligned before pressing down. On the screw fixing one side isn't 100% tight so there is slight movement on the hinge but the seat is sturdy enough. Overall, quality seat, bit of glam in the loo - but you need patience!

This toilet seat is absolutely stunning. Looks amazing And excellent quality. I love it! It is easy to fit and fits very well, it is solid, it hasn’t moved at all. Glittery and looks amazing! If you are looking for a glitter toilet seat look no further! It was an Excellent choice! I would highly recommend!

We have been fed up with toilet seats not fitting properly, constantly moving out of position and causing endless problems. I ordered the quartz blue one. Blue being the theme, due to the colour of the floor in the wet room. Aesthetically, none of the pictures do it any justice. It is a lovely shade of blue and very sparkly, it gives the impression that it costs a lot more than it does. It truly adds a touch of glamour to the wet room. 😀 The seat is well made and is very solid and sturdy, it's actually made of solid wood. It is not self closing however. The claim by Croydex, once fit, never slips is absolutely 100% true. 👍 I am very happy with it and it is much admired by all of our visitors. I highly recommend this toilet seat. UPDATE: 2 years since I purchased this and still in position, no movement whatsoever. It is also still looking sparkly and like new.

I found the toilet seat to be extremely strong and quite heavy - especially compared to my old plastic toilet seat. I did however, find it very difficult to install simply because of the weight, that it just would not stay in one place as I tried desperately to install it. The problem is that it uses 2 very strong adhesive connectors that are supposed to stop it moving but because no matter how I tried, the toilet seat just slid every time I tried to fasten it and just as I pressed the 2 sticky connectors to the toilet bowl, it moved slightly and so now it's become very dangerous because it has fastened off-skew and slides to the right, which tips us off the toilet when using it and the first time it happened I cracked my head against the wall. Now that I'm aware of it, I have to be extremely careful. So far, I have not been able to find any replacement double-sided adhesive washers. The only way around it would be for me to buy a new (completely different toilet seat - as I wouldn't buy this one again) or buy a replacement kit from Croydex for £27 - which is totally not financially unviable. I now need to somehow, take it off and try to obtain the sticky fasteners somewhere (but so far - no joy with that at all) and try to install it again with the help of someone steadying it for me as I fasten it again. I feel that if the toilet seat had not moved when I tried fastening the sticky things, then it would have been okay. I think that if you have someone to help steady the seat whilst installing it, then all would be fine.

We went though FIVE loo seats before trying this one, all the others were super light weight & poorly made & not simple to install. I initially liked due to the dark glitz black but when I read reviews about this being like the older style loo seats (having some weight to it) I said to myself this has be tried I was sick of the slow closing lids seats this wasn't important to me, being a GOOD look seat was all I wanted and we finally have one with this! Simple to install and I mean this honestly the five we tried before this all promised simple installs & you needed a math degree to fit them! Not this one PHEW. It has some nice weight to it, looks very sleek, I feel like I need to decorate the bathroom so it looks nicer to go with the loo lol. Great loo seat the best on the market by far.

Update: 8th October 2024. Right hinge snapped, how the metal snapped I do not know. So with that in mind, I really do not recommend. Instead had to get emergency toilet seat from ARGOS, HOME RANGE black glitter self close toilet seat, that is cheaper than this. Also the fact that the toilet seat only lasted from June to 8th October says it all. And, no we are not heavy people. I have seen cheapo plastic toilet seats last longer than this, in fact my original plastic white toilet seat from WILKO lasted about 13 years, but thought no I want to change it up and have a bit ol' glitz to it. However the below text was my original review in June 2024. The toilet seat is comfortable. Easy clean. Sturdy as does not move, once fitted as per instructions. Allow it to stick, in regards to adhesive pads, this is important. Make sure to fit the bolts tight as possible first. The thickness of it is of a typical wood toilet seat. It fits our toilet perfectly which is standard toilet. I say good value for money. But please do read instructions properly, and do not skip any parts.

La única observación es que, la llave para el montaje es demasiado pequeña y se hace muy complicado el montaje. Una vez hecho el esfuerzo, el anclaje es perfecto. Todo bien.
