I've been using this light for a while now and thought I should drop a quick review to express how delighted I am with it. I tend to use it either on daylight or white light and I love the sensor on/off which is superb once you get used to it. The light at its brightest is a really good light ideal for make up, shaving, crafting, office work or anything else. It has a good range of adjustment and with its heavy base its ultra stable and in my opinion it is a really attractive design. The whole thing is well designed and well made. In addition, when I was in touch with Otus support, they responded the same day and were really helpful, exceeding my expectations. Thank you Serge

Unfortunately, a fantastic light, with the wrong plug. So frustrating. Tried the Amazon helpline and spoke to 1,000,000 robots. In the end tried to buy an adapter, had to settle for what I had in my cupboard. The light works, it looks great, but if you want to turn it on, make sure you live in Europe.

Love this lamp, to begin with a classic chrome light with solid heavy base. This means you can have the lamp at the rear of your desk and extend over any paperwork without it effecting your monitor screen. The 3 coloured LED lamp is a game changer, given you a warm light, white and a blue tinged reading light. I use all 3, but generally when working the white light works best. You then have 12 brightness settings using some cleaver touch sensitive buttons that enable you to fine tune to your taste. Ok, not the cheapest but factor in the quality, flexibility and the fact you never have to buy a bulb then I think it’s a decent purchase.

I wanted a lamp that is way above my eye level, one that doesn't shine into my eyes. This product is good as it towers above my 21.5 inch screen. Good amount of light to cover the desk area, although I wish it was slightly brighter. Easy to intall. Base is heavy and therefore it is very sturdy. Motion sensing to turn on and off is fun.

I looked around for some decent desk-top lamps after already owning an Anglepoise lamp and a couple of good copies of the original. I was looking for something thats better than the £25 lamps that are available all over, and less than the £150+ of an original Anglepoise. Looking at the good reviews I thought I'd try this one. For the money, this lamp feels...well, cheap. Cheap plastics, cheap metal, a single tiny screw securing the base. It just looked and felt like a £25 light, not a £100 light. In operation things didn't look any better. The hand waving IR detector switch is fine, it works...especially when you dont want it to, like when you're trying to move the light. Rather annoying! This has the same electronics as much cheaper lights - standard bluish bright light (probably around 6,000 Kelvin) and a 'warm' light around 2,700 Kelvin. Then a mix of the two together. The cool light setting is the brightest and the light quality isn't nice on th eye. The warm setting looks more orange that warm and is about half the maximum brightness of the cooler setting, which is far two dark even on maximum brightness setting. Both lights together give off an 'Okay' light, just about bright enough for a desk light but again, the quality of the LEDs appears to be poor. All in all this light is a rip-off for £50, let alone £100. My advice is to buy one of the copy Anglepoise lights on here and put a Phillips Hue lightbulb in it. It'll be brighter with more options, far cheaper and a more solid build! If this light was £25 then they'd have a compelling product.

Great product, firm base, great lighting.

Great lamp! Puts out a good, strong, even light. The base is heavy enough to support the arm in all configurations. By the way, for those who say the arm doesn't secure: there is a screw and washer in the bottom of the arm that you remove, then reattach with the arm in the base. They even include a little baggy taped to the arm with spares. I replaced my previous desk lamp with this one, because I needed a long armature - a smaller lamp tended to cut across my field of vision when people sat across from me at my desk. This one fit the bill perfectly. It's completely above my field of vision when we're all seated. This one also pivots easily if there's still a problem. The arm holds in any position you put it. I noticed the little arm extension coming off the head of the lamp; those usually exist if the head is too hot to touch, so I was concerned - no problem. The head is barely even warm. I think it's primarily to keep your hand clear of the on/off sensor when you're moving the light. Nice touch. The light is very even with no hot (or bright spots). It's a very "soft" light, which minimizes shadows and glare. It has a very nice wide area of coverage which makes an excellent work area on my desk. I've heard good things about the customer service, but can't comment on it - the lamp worked perfectly from the start, so no need! What could be improved? A couple of tiny items (not enough to affect my satisfaction): 1) the color is adjusted by having two banks of LEDs: one in the inner, orange-ish lens in the center of the light (you can see it in the photo), and another bank surrounding it. That way you have warm light, cool light, or a mix of the two. It's simple and elegant. I had another lamp where you could continuously adjust the color from completely warm to completely cool without any steps or presets. Something like that would be nice, but it's not a big deal. 2) (I'm a photographer, so I'm very aware of light/color) I would personally prefer if the warm light had a little less green tint and a little more red, warming it up just a bit. My two slight niggles will probably not be noticed by 90% or more of people, but I thought it would be good to document. I would totally recommend this lamp. I plan to get another for my home desk. While more expensive than the others the old adage applies: you get what you pay for.
