Great system, great price!
Ok, so this is my first impression of this bit if kit and the rating takes into account it's ridiculously low price for the high quality you get here (bit of a spoiler alert). It was easy to set up right out of the box. No platter to set up, no counterweight to mount and set up, the tone arm is already in place and the cartridge is on place. All I had to do was connect the power, connect the speakers (they are built in RCA connectors) and connect my phone by Bluetooth (the Bluetooth thing took literally 10 secs). Very very easy set up. The sound quality. Now, I'm a bit of an audiophile and so I have listened to vinyl and CD through hifi separates for years. So I didn't expect a great deal here but the reviews were good. I bought it as a gift for my stepson his wanted one for ages, for his new digs at Uni. I've set it up this morning and tested it for him and it's really surprisingly good! Decent, punchy bass from the speakers. They're pretty well balanced and a practical size. The speakers have rubber feet on each corner to stop them vibrating off your shelves in use. It uses an Audio Technica cartridge which have been around since the early 1960s, are a Japanese brand and I use one myself on my own Audio Technica turntable. They're cheap for stylus replacement if it breaks (common with newbs which my lad is). The old stylus slides off and the new slides on in seconds. Easy. The platter is like 45 rpm single size but I've tested it with 12" size albums and it's fine with no wobbles or undulating. I don't like felt mats so if there is a rubber one out there I'll probably get one of those for him. I think they generate more static (even ones that say they don't) and they don't grip the underside of the record as well as a rubber one. The sound quality with both old vinyl presses from the 80s and new stuff from this last decade are all spot on. I'm not going to record a video of it because anyone that knows, knows that you need to hear any hifi kit with your own ears to determine it's quality. It's a solid made, well executed piece of kit. Bluetooth. Now, I listen to HD and High Res audio from Amazon which I pay for through wired earbuds and it's really very good and sounds nearer to vinyl than standard MP3 files. Having listened to a few bits from TOTO, Thompson Twins and also some more modern dance tracks it performs very well. It's not going to shake the floor but it's really good for its size, claimed power output and the speaker size. It's suitable for a small room, such as what my son is in at uni. I'm very impressed for the money. It's easy to switch between the record player and Bluetooth with a two way switch on the deck itself. It's three speed, 33, 45 and 78, again, all selectable with a three position, positive feelings switch on the deck next to the tone arm. He's new to vinyl so it needs to be straight forward to use or he won't use it and it definitely is super easy to use and no faff. I have given five starts in mind of the price Vs quality of everything. I would think this is very hard to beat. It comes with a 3 years warranty which shows the company owners have confidence in their product. Oakcastle is part of the Majority brand, a UK company and as far as I know, UK designed system. No doubt made in China like most things but I think most people realise that's not an issue anymore and hasn't been for a long time now. It's a no brainer this and my son is very pleased with it so far.

Looks good, pleased with it.
Great looking player, I've only played a couple of new vinyls and one from the eighties, it played fine on the new ones, it did jump a couple of times and get stuck once on the old one but it did manage to unstick itself, I tried one old single and it played fine but the auto stop stopped before the end but you can turn that off. Short cables on the speakers so be aware. Records do wobble so be aware of that also. Speakers sound okay, better on the quieter records. I'm used to having a player plugged into a mini stereo with the speakers to that so obviously that sounded better. Seems pretty sturdy overall. It was very easy to set up which was a big plus. I'm pleased with it so far, haven't had it long enough to see it stands the test of time.

Great product for the price
Bought this for an early Christmas present for my parents and just WOW we was blown away by the absolute quality. The speakers sound absolutely fantastic and it looks so retro but Morden to. Not that you really need any instructions to put it together as it’s so easy. And the Bluetooth easy as pie to use would really recommend

Definitely recommend!
Wow! We'd been using a turntable with built in speakers, which wasn't great. But, this is amazing for the money. Quick to set up, perfect size and looks fab. The bass is great. The volume on the video was only halfway. Bluetooth works perfectly too. I'd definitely recommend this for the price. 5 stars! The vinyl is going to be on a lot. The only downside was Amazon and the pick up shop. The label was put on the underside of the box, so I was worried about it being damaged, but thankfully it seems ok.

Amazing value record deck
Amazing value for money. At this price I wasn't expecting a product of such good quality and with so many features. The built in speakers are not the greatest but its very easy to connect external speakers so no problem there. I needed a turntable to fit a small space and this was perfect, plus it comes with a 3 year warranty. Excellent.

Excellent value
Bought this record player for my 13 year old daughter and she loves it. Easy to setup and easy to use with a great sound. Like the Bluetooth feature. One thing is the speaker wires are quite short so had to use additional wires and adaptor, otherwise excellent value for money.
