Universal Remote Control Replacement for LG All Smart TV

I purchased this remote in 2023 as a replacement after my original LG TV remote stopped working. I have now been using it for nearly three years. Setup was incredibly simple. I just inserted the batteries and it worked immediately with my LG Smart TV—no programming, pairing, or complicated steps required. That was a huge relief because I just wanted something that worked right away. In terms of performance, all buttons function exactly as expected. The power button responds instantly, volume and channel controls are accurate, and navigation through menus and apps is smooth. The shortcut buttons (like Netflix and other app buttons) also work properly on my TV. I use the remote daily, and I haven’t experienced any connectivity drops, or unresponsive keys. Build quality feels solid for a replacement remote. The buttons have a good tactile response—not too stiff and not too soft—and the layout is very similar to the original, so there was no learning curve. It’s lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy. The only maintenance I have needed is occasional battery replacement, which is completely normal with regular use. Other than that, I have had no issues at all. Overall, this has been a reliable and cost-effective replacement for my original LG remote. If your LG TV remote has stopped working and you don’t want to spend a lot on a replacement, this is a great option that simply gets the job.

Generally works, but not perfectly. The wheel and the pointer function are OK, but don't feel quite so precise. Can't get it to control my soundbar like the original did. Better option than a new TV I suppose.

Does what it says on the tin and for a great price. If you need a replacement, don't buy a branded remote, buy this.

Awesome replacement remote!

Bought this in August 2025. The battery cover was unable to stay on itself so had to be taped. By February 2026 it needed persistent effort to make the right arrow button work. So that one lasted approx 6 months. Replaced with a new one in February 2026, using "buy again" option. The battery cover fell off as soon as I unwrapped it. Two in a row suggests that this is at least a common issue, it can't just be mad bad luck? The remote appears to be 3d printed? I could be wrong about that but regardless, the build quality is poor. The remote had stopped working at all by May, so that one lasted less than 3 months. It still looks pristine, it hasn't been mistreated, it just stopped doing anything. I've replaced batteries of course, then replaced again to be sure. It is basically ornamental and has no function whatsoever. Reluctant to buy a new one so soon, but being past the 30 day return policy, I resorted to using the old one again (the one I bought last August). The right arrow takes so much work to get a response, but I just kind of lived with it for a while. Now it has got so bad it actually hurts to get it to work, and I'm wondering what to do now? Should I buy another replacement? I've had two in a year, the first one was only reasonably useful for 6 months, and the second lost all function in less than 3 months. Should I buy a two pack on the hope that at least one will work for at least 6 months?? My previous remote worked from 2021 to 2025. What has gone wrong with production since then??

Works perfectly, better than the original

Bought this for less than 200 Rupees to replace a faulty magic remote. Superior value. Doesn’t have the bells and whistles of a magic remote, but does the job well.

Hade en annan fjärrkontroll med ett hjul som man scrollade med som original. Har LG oled tv. Hjulet gick sönder på original fjärren. Den här fungerar perfekt.
