Works
Sturdy, stays in place n it works. It didn’t give any sores to my horse as some reviews describe sores from the buckle. I wish the string would be more sturdy because the end started to split n so it is harder to secure now but it can be trimmed with scissors.

So far I’m impressed!
Deceptively small, however, it has held up and prevented any new shoe boils! It looks more comfortable than traditional shoe boil boots. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the buckle is flimsy. That being said, I’m a week in of 24/7 use and it’s still on! The price is hard to beat.

Hard to open clasp, harder to remove after being worn by horse
The farrier put this on my horse for me. I took it off after my horse's abscess went away. My horse wore it for about a month. It was very difficult to remove because the dirt and grime had rusted/corroded the little belt closure thingey.

so good. It is light weight and doesn't irritate his ...
Nov 2018 - Update that the ring is still still being used to treat the hoof boil and going strong. Boil has not returned, ring is still in good shape and no skin irritation. Highly recommend if your horse has a hoof boil!!Jan 2018 - After reading the other reviews, I purchased the ring for my horse's hoof boil. He has always worn the standard hoof boil boot which lasts around 6 months. I have to remove the boot every few days since it starts creating a skin irritation by his hoof. Plus the boot costs around $30 so this seems worth a try. So far, so good. It is light weight and doesn't irritate his skin; even better, his hoof boil has not come back. I honestly have to say I'm surprised this has worked so well. The construction is very basic (makes me think I could have made one!), but is does work. If this ever wears out, I would definitely purchase another.

Nope
The buckle on this is equivalent to a buckle on a cat collar. Definitely won’t hold up to a horse.

Works great
I bought this for my horse because he developed a shoe boil. I read several reviews that even though it is not the intended use, other ppl had good luck with it for shoe boils. I put it on my horse. He doesn't not even notice it, and his show boil is now half the size in just a few weeks. I noticed he is developing one on the other leg, so I am buying another one. It is easy to put on and take off.

Works for Shoe Boils
Due to my horse needing corrective shoes he developed a shoe boil. I didn't want to purchase the big thick boot, that is typical for this. It seems so uncomfortable. So on a chance and reading other reviews I purchased this. It works perfect. I only leave it on in the stall. I have had it for many months now and my horse wears it in his stall for about 14 hours a day and it still is holding up. No marks on his leg from it and no shoe boil.

Cheap straps
I bought a pair to put on my gelding's hindfeet because he is suffering the effects of EPM. To make him more aware and not cross or interfere. They work well. The problem I had was the buckle broke. So I replaced the straps with Nunn finer rubber spur straps. Perfect. The are a bit stretchy, you have cut them, there colorful.
