Purchased this to stuff individual elements in a quilt. I'm very happy with the amount shipped. There were no twigs or dirt, just fleece. After opening, the fleece off-gassed a strong lanolin odor and my hands were *slightly* moisturized after handling. I opted to scour the product using lingerie bags, warm water, and a bit of dish soap. After air drying, it is *perfect* for trapunto/quilting. I think if left to air dry for a good amount of time the lanolin odor would naturally dissipate.

Clean, soft wool. No smell. Comes vacuum sealed so I just pulled out some and fluffed it a bit and it is perfect for my new neck pillow. I will be buying more!

I use this for stuffing pin cushions and some needle felting. It is great for filler or stuffing - a little slubby for felting. good quantity. I had a lot of pin cushions to make and wool stuffing works best. Thanks.

This wool really felts well. I like to make bigger needle felting projects and this is perfect for using in the middle so I can save my tops and finer wools for the outside details. I got the two pound bag and I won’t run out for the foreseeable future because they come with so much. The wool has a slight smell, but it doesn't bother me, it just smells natural. I highly suggest this product!

So, wool is soft and fluffy right? Why is this wool lumpy and hard? It starts off soft and fluffy but by the time I wake up it is in rock hard balls. I pull all of the wool from my case, separate, re-fluff and put back in the case. Next morning rock hard balls. I don't get it. This isn't my first wool pillow but this is my first experience like this. Upon opening the extremely airtight vacuum sealed bag, the wool is nice, clean and fluffy. I was planning to buy more until I slept on it. The order of 2 bags (I think it was) will make 2 king size pillows. Not huge overstuffed pillows but good size and good for back and stomach sleepers. (this wool is in thin pieces/chunks so if you are planning on folding it up to make a pillow, that won"t work either.)

Nice clean wool! No odours! Came vacuum packed. Fluffed up nicely when the package was opened. Fluffing up takes a bit of time so don't rush to use the material.
