Tout est dit, ce n'est pas un kit, c'est 2 joints donc un qui s'est retrouvé plié alors que l'emballage est intact... Ne cherchez pas l'accessoire en plastique noir. Article trompeur.

Replaced my old gasket and no longer have to tighten down the cap like I used to.

I've had my 64oz. Klean Kanteen for 8 years now. It's survived airplane trips, hikes, camping, spills, falls, motorcycle trips... you name it. It looks like a pack of gorillas played rugby with it but it works fine and doesn't leak a drop. After 8 years, the seal in the lid finally started to go. It didn't leak, but it began to tear and made it harder and harder to screw the lid on. I didn't expect a factory set of seals to be available but I was pleasantly surprised. For $6 I bought a pair of new seals (a lifetime supply if the longevity of the first one is any indication). Pull the old one out using a set of needle nose pliers (grabbing it by the convenient pull tab), clean underneath the seal with a toothbrush to get rid of any gunk, dry everything, install new seal. Installing the seal goes a bit easier if you use the back of a spoon, popsicle stick, etc. to work it all the way down into the groove in the cap. Make sure it is well seated and not rolled over, otherwise it will tear or deform when you screw the cap on. I've found that lubricating the new seal with some food-safe lubricant will keep it from bunching up and possibly tearing when you screw the cap on. A light film on the seal just before you install it will last for a while. I've used petroleum jelly (which is considered relatively safe in small doses when ingested orally), but it can cause gastrointestinal upset in people who are sensitive to it. I'm not, but if you have any doubt, use something like cooking oil, coconut oil, etc. Many hardware stores also sell food-safe greases designed for use on kitchen equipment. A tiny bit will last a lifetime if all you're doing is lubricating water bottle seals. Finally, don't forget to remove the old seal and clean behind it every once in a while. You'll need a toothbrush or similar to clean out the seal groove, but it's important because moisture can get trapped in there and grow mold. Yes, it's a bit of a pain, but it's the price we pay to have a bottle that is bomb-proof, infinitely refillable (assuming you don't destroy it), and will not leach out BPAs or other chemicals. The new seal is just as leak-proof as the old one. I may be cynical but I'm pleasantly surprised when OEM parts are available inexpensively and actually work. Apparently Klean Kanteen wants you to keep your old bottles functional, which I appreciate. Better yet, my battered old bottle can accompany me on a few more adventures.
