I have not used this pin pointer outside yet. I used it on items in the house, and I liked how it was sensitive to different objects. The weight of it and the circumference of it fit my hand very well. It's loud enough to hear. There are rubber o rings at the screw top that if tightened will make it waterproof. I have to familiarize myself with the button control but it shuts off after ten minutes if it's idle. For what I paid for it, and for what it does, I think I got a good deal.

I was so happy to use this super accurate metal detector. Can’t wait to use it in vacation. I used it to help find my property pin in my yard in seconds with the help of generally locating the area with a big detector. This one pin point nailed it! The area was huge and overgrown and complicated by power and utility conduit, line and cables. With the two of them, I saved myself the surveyors fees of $800.00!

Purchased this to go metal detecting with my son. Was really surprised at how sensitive this was. We looked around our backyard and was finding old housing material from when my house was built over 20 years ago, and more than six inches below the ground. Even found an old pair of pliers down about four inches with this. Love the fact that it vibrates and beeps so you can feel it if you’re in a loud environment. I paired this with their same brand metal detector, love it!

I use this along with my HF Gordon metal detector, to find property markers.Inexpensive and seems to work okay.Changing settings are finicky.I'll update this, as I continue to use it.

I purchased this item at Christmas for myself and one for a friend. I had to wait until the spring thaw to use it. Went metal detecting with another friend that didn't have a pin point locator. We found that the standard metal detector was too broad and my "Pinpointer" was able to narrow down our searches and produce many small objects that might have gone un-found. I'm excited to get out and use it again.

I have always been fascinated by the treasure hunting shows that I watched as a kid growing up. Finding rare coins or detecting precious metals while digging through soil seemed like a fascinating adventure. So, when I saw this handheld metal detector on Amazon at such a reasonable price (less than $30), I thought that it was too good to be true. I poured over the reviews and from people around the world and decided to order one myself. It came on time and was exactly like I expected. The wand feels "solid" in my hands and is not some cheap piece of plastic. There are multiple sensitivity settings that you can easily adjust and even opt for a clearly audible "buzzer" sound when it detects an object. There is also a handy LED light built in to illuminate your search. It does take a 9V battery (which was included) and a handy holder & strap. Others had indicated that the cap was difficult to take off and insert the battery, but I found it easy to complete. Yes, you do need to align the cap threads properly, but that is the case with ANY screw cap so I did not see it as an issue. I give this product a 5 star review and tested it on various objects (sterling coins, iron, jewelry, etc.) and it works just as described. I can't wait to use it in the field for more challenging digs, but from all that I have seen so far, it is an excellent tool for this activity. Customer services was also excellent for this purchase and it arrived on time exactly as described. Happy treasure hunting!

I can't brag on this thing enough.I love how sensitive it and accurate it is and how easy it is to pinpoint something when metal detecting.This thing will always come with me on my adventures.
