This IS suitable for UK Hoses!
I imported this to the UK and it IS suitable for UK hose pipes. I have a 3/4 flexi hose and it fit just fine. Only problem was... I needed to put an extra washer into the Dial n Spray nozzle where it connects to the hose because it leaked profusely. After adding the extra rubber washer I had that took 5 seconds to pop in, there were no more leaks. This is all down to the type of hose and the thread. I'm very happy with this. The container has Oz on the front and Ml on the back so you can see how many ml of concentrate you are putting in it. Still need to do the conversion with the 14 settings though, that is only in US Oz.

Useless in the UK
Leaks really badly, needs an extra adapter to use in the UK, expensive, took 3 weeks to arrive - in all, a waste of money. I wish I had read the reviews more thoroughly before I bought it. Unfortunately, I didn’t test it out until the return date had passed, otherwise it would have gone back!

Leaked really badly from the main body of the unit.

Not suitable for UK garden hose
It requires an uncommon fitting to be connected to the hose in the UK and is also demanding in the water pressure to achieve the targeted dilution ratio. Would not recommend to be used in the UK.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT BUY!!!
I bought this to disperse a soil loosener (I live in the UK). The sprayer screw thread fits a 3/4" but in the UK it is typically 1/2" and aquick-fit nozzle type connector, not screw-on. I fashioned an adapter from some nozzles I had and these fit fine. However the spray leaks - not through my adaptation, but from the handle/ white cap connection. You can see the above in my images. Just to test the spray itself, I screwed it directly to my outdoor tap and you can see where it leaks. I tried additional washers as another reviewer had said but that didn't work. Total waste of money. I haven't bothered trying to return it as it's from the US.

Leaks horribly, terrible quality
Seems to be a common fault with this product, it leaks horrendously around the bottom of the handle It also doesn’t fit standard UK hose fittings (3/4” BSP), you have to get a US thread adapter (also 3/4” but a different thread) which is a nuisance, especially when you end up returning this product anyway…

Don't Buy
Don't buy. Very poor design with a simple snap fit joining two halves which allows water to leak at an alarming rate. Such was the amount of leakage that the water pressure from the spray was useless. Simply not fit for purpose. Seller refunded without question ( full marks to them ) which suggests mine is not the first complaint of this product.

The Ortho Dial N Spray Hose-End Sprayer has become my go-to tool for keeping my lawn and garden in top shape, and I’m beyond impressed with how easy and effective it is! Whether I’m tackling weeds, pests, or fertilizing my plants, this sprayer takes all the guesswork out of the process. It’s a total time-saver and delivers flawless results every time—hands down, a five-star product! Pros: • No Mixing, No Mess: Just pour your liquid concentrate into the jar, set the dial, and spray. It’s so simple—I’ve never had a spill or wasted product, which is a huge win compared to manual mixing. • Versatile Spray Patterns: The three options—broadcast, jet, and shower—are perfect for any job. I use broadcast for my lawn, jet for high tree branches (it reaches up to 25 feet!), and shower for my delicate flowers. Each one works like a charm. • Precise Dilution Settings: With 14 settings from 1 teaspoon to 8 ounces per gallon, I can dial in the exact strength I need. It’s automatic and consistent, so I know my plants are getting the right treatment every time. • Comfortable Design: The extended-grip handle keeps my hands dry, and the ergonomic trigger feels great even after long sessions. Plus, the rotating hose connector makes it super easy to maneuver. • Anti-Backflow Bonus: I love that it prevents chemicals from flowing back into my hose—peace of mind for safety and water purity. Cons: • Slight Leak Potential: If you don’t secure the hose connection tightly (or add an extra washer), it might drip a little at first. It’s an easy fix, but worth mentioning. • Pickup Tube Could Be Better: The rigid tube sometimes struggles to suck up the last bit of concentrate unless I hold it perfectly level. A flexible, weighted tube would be an upgrade. • Loud Jet Setting: The jet spray is powerful but noisy—fine for me, but it might startle pets or neighbors if you’re not careful. This sprayer has made lawn care feel like less of a chore and more of a breeze. It’s durable, user-friendly, and delivers professional-level precision without the hassle. Whether you’re a gardening newbie or a seasoned pro, the Ortho Dial N Spray is a fantastic investment—five stars all the way!

Once I got the unit sealed it is fantastic but it tool a lot of experimenting and plumbers tape to stop it from leaking. It didn't come with a click on hose connector.

I bought this to dose herbicide over a lawn so I wouldn't have to walk around with a pump sprayer, so I needed something that was fairly accurate at dosage per gallon dispensed. Ultimately the decision came down to reviews and this had the overall best reviews. I'll clarify something I didn't see on any review and a major question I had. The dial on the side of the unit that dictates the dosing rate is in oz/gallon of water. This isn't explicit in the product instructions BUT if you buy Ortho's Weed B-gon concentrate product it says to dose at 2.5oz per gallon (if using in a pump sprayer) or if using the Dial N Spray, set the dial to 2.5oz. Having an easy to set dosing rate in oz per gallon is FAR easier than guessing or doing some sort of experiment. So far no issues. I suspect people with leaking issues are not using a gasket for the hose connection, aren't screwing the sprayer completely onto the hose, or are not properly supporting the hose connection. You can't fill the unit then use the hose to support its weight, you also shouldn't use the handle on the unit to pull the hose. The hose connection isn't intended to support any kind of tension.
