Subcold Super35 LED Mini Fridge | 35L Table-Top Beer, Wine & Drinks Fridge | Energy Efficient with Dual-Glazed Glass Door

I bought this for my private office set up at home in order to keep my beverages chilled. I have it on the floor underneath my desk so it is out of the way. I wanted to get a decent sized mini fridge that small fridge that uses a compressor to keep things chilled as those fridges without a compressor I find do not keep the contents cold enough. Usually the style you find in a hotel wardrobe. The pay off for that is a compressor can be heard when it kicks on/off. It's like any other fridge and frankly I don't really notice. I'd question whether you'd have one in your bedroom though if you were a light sleeper. It has a light inside at the top of the unit, but it's more of a gimic than anything as it gives off very little light, so I just leave it off. It would have been better placed on the side. The lock works fine. It's like an allen key. But again, I don't use it as my fridge isn't in an office where other people would be frequenting. Overall, extremely happy with my purchase as it does exactly what I purchsed it to do... Keep my beverages cold.

At first it seemed like it was a great little fridge. However within a few days the fridge became very noisy making loud cracking and popping when the compressor started up. The fridge was next to me in my home office and it was very annoying especially as the compressor seemed to kick in every 15 mins. Also after 5 days it accumulated a lot of ice internally. The door was probably opened once or twice a day so the seals must of been inadequate on the doors for this level of build. As a result I arranged it to be returned to subcold. Any saving grace is that there customer support is very responsive and processed the return very swiftly after a small troubleshooting questions. Id steer clear of the fridge, really poor quality.

This is very good value for money but its not without its drawbacks due to a couple of areas they've had to economise on a bit to hit the price point. Its well constructed and sturdy but its very noisy for such a small unit - the compressor is obviously a fairly cheap one and it is pretty loud, much louder than my "normal" fridge and I couldn't recommend you use this in a bedroom for example - I found it quite loud even testing it plugged in in my lounge. The second slight issue is that I think the insulation isn't quite up to the task - the fridge achieves a good low temperature quite quickly but doesn't seem able to keep it there long without active cooling - the compressor kicks in almost continuously. Either the range for the temperature is set too narrow and it is "hunting", or else the insulation isn't up to the task and it warms up so quickly that it has to be cooled again. It might do this less is you fully loaded it with cans etc perhaps so that there's more mass at the lower temperature, but with just a few cans in it was cutting in literally every minute or two to try and bring the temperature back down - not only would this rack up your energy bill but its quite distracting noise-wise.

I bought this using an Amazon Voucher gift I had received from work and was worried that i was wasting it. Turns out I was wrong; this fridge was perfect for me as I spend a lot of time in my room doing work and studying and it’s great to have this right behind me stocked with water and snacks. Would recommend if you have the money but if you are on the fence about getting a mini fridge just for your room you might be able to find cheaper and more compact offers.

Very good! ordered it on Thursday and it arrived Saturday when I got back from my son’s house and in time for the champions league final! I managed to purchase the 35 litre version cause I’m currently refurbishing the bedroom (mancave) and this was an excellent edition to have and I’m very pleased with it! as soon as you install it you have to make sure you turn the dial on to 5 and then few hours later turn it back to 3 and a half? I checked my cans this morning as you can see in the picture and they were nicely chilled! for those that keep saying in their reviews that the noise it makes is too loud to have on overnight are daft but each to their own! anyway the temperature control and the noise level on the fridge are excellent and it’s a must have for anyone! 👍🏻
