Up until now, it is good but you really need to manually adjust its PPT, TDC and EDC to limit power or just use Eco Mode (65W mode which will definitely boost to something higher but it will be within safer limits) present in AMD overclocking options in Gigabyte BIOS. Apply undervolt on per core basis, test and then it runs at much lower temperatures. I'm using a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO air cooler, temps were touching near ceiling of max temps under synthetic loads like cinebench which is the expected behavior. After the modifications, it now goes around 70-75 under synthetic load and around 55-62 under gaming load on same cooler. Temps can go up if ambient temperatures are too much, obviously. I'll edit the review later if needed.

I have been using this CPU for a month now and its performance and temps have been great all around. No complaints at all. Highly recommend it.

Um dos melhores processadores para games — na verdade, o terceiro melhor do mundo para jogos. A única questão é que ele esquenta bastante, pois trabalha próximo de 100% o tempo todo. Por isso, é recomendável fazer alguns ajustes na BIOS (PBO). No geral, pode comprar sem medo.

En general es un excelente producto, no podría haber elegido un mejor procesador. El precio fue muy bueno para la potencia que ofrece.Como detalles técnicos de mis pruebas: en reposo o con carga baja (alrededor del 4% de uso), mantiene una temperatura excelente de unos 42 °C y trabaja a una frecuencia base alta de 4,7 GHz. Es verdad que por momentos puntuales de máxima carga se calienta bastante, pero nada de lo que mi refrigeración líquida Lian Li Hydroshift 360S-TL no pueda hacerse cargo. ¡Una compra 100% recomendada!

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is an amazing CPU and easily one of the best options for gaming. Performance is incredible, especially in CPU-heavy and competitive games where high frame rates matter. It runs cool with a good cooler and handles multitasking without any issues. The upgrade to the AM5 platform and DDR5 support also makes it a great choice for future upgrades. A bit expensive, but if gaming is your priority, it’s worth every dollar.
