Excellent dual monitor KVM – makes switching between PCs effortless
I bought this Unitek dual monitor KVM to share two 4K screens, keyboard, mouse and other USB devices between my work PC and personal PC, and it has made my setup so much easier to manage. Once everything was plugged in, it worked exactly as advertised – both monitors run at 4K@60Hz with a crisp, stable picture and no flickering or random black screens. Switching between computers is very quick and smooth. One press of the button and both monitors, plus keyboard, mouse and USB peripherals, swap over to the other machine in a couple of seconds. It’s much nicer than constantly swapping cables around, and it feels completely seamless when I move from one system to the other. The unit itself feels solid and well built, and it doesn’t take up too much space on the desk. The layout of the ports is sensible, and the included cables make it straightforward to get everything connected. Once set up, I’ve had no issues with devices not being recognised or dropping out – it’s been very reliable day to day. Overall, this is an excellent KVM if you run two computers with two monitors and want a clean, simple solution. It does exactly what it claims, with great 4K image quality and hassle-free switching. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

Small and compact, check the specs.
Works well, small and compact with a long enough remote line to have on the desk. One point to call out that I hadn't bothered to research, it won't run with one source on HDMI and the other on DPORT. It either has to be both sources on HDMI or both sources on DPORT. There is another option of both sources using both DPORT and HDMI but I have no idea when that would be used. So I had to buy a mini DPORT to HDMI cable for a Dell compact PC as the Lenovo laptop uses HDMI only. My Dell PC has HDMI which works but is the shared memory graphics card where the mini DPORT is a dedicated graphics card. Something to be aware of anyway.

terrible
I don't know if it was just a dud (from the other reviews it seems folk didn't have the same issue, so heading towards bad quality control), but the KVM I was sent was awful, the screen connections (and yes, well within the specs and with top notch cabling) were flickery as hell, to the point I'd have assumed it was a 10 quids cheapie, which it is not. Utter shame as otherwise it feels well built and designed

A well-designed, KVM switch, but needs both HDMI and DisplayPort, for dual monitor setup
A few people have commented on the price of this UNITEK KVM switch, although unavailable at the time of my review. However, to some extent, you tend to get what you pay for, and the quality of this one is far better than others that I’ve tested… Not only does it manage to fit a large array of ports into a compact silver-grey box, it comes with the correct USB3 Type A to B cables, instead of the (potentially dangerous) double-ended Type A cables that have been supplied with others. It switches reliably, and no hiccups with connected devices, which has not always been the case with other USB3 KVMs. I connected everything as per the diagram, using a laptop and a desktop PC, but unfortunately my test monitors don’t have DisplayPort inputs, so I needed to use adapters, and a 5m cable, which is probably expecting a bit too much! I feel sure that the DisplayPort option would work fine with the correct connectivity. And, I can confirm that the HDMI switching works faultlessly. I used the USB3 ‘OUT’ ports to share a mouse, keyboard and USB3 flash drive, without needing to ‘safely remove’ before switching, and it didn’t seem to mind, although perhaps not best practice! I think I would tend to connect a small USB3 hub to the rear USB port, and plug in my shared devices (mouse, keyboard printer), leaving the two front facing ports free for flash drives etc. The remote switch has a good action, and can be placed somewhere that’s easily accessible, with the option to stick it in place if you wish. And, I particularly like the 3.5mm audio ports, although, you’d probably choose USB or wireless options these days. Overall, this KVM switch appears to be well-designed, solidly-built, and should help to make your workspace more manageable. Recommended.

Effortless Multitasking
With both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, the switch accommodates two high-resolution monitors, so you can run different setups on each computer without losing any display quality. The 4K resolution is sharp and vibrant, keeping colours and text clear—ideal for tasks that demand a high level of detail, like graphic design, coding, or intense multitasking. Switching between computers is smooth and lag-free, which is especially handy when moving from one task to another without interrupting your workflow. Beyond the displays, this KVM switch has three USB ports, allowing you to connect a shared keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices. It also features a dedicated mic and headset ports, so you can keep using your audio setup without having to reconfigure it each time you switch computers. The extra USB-B cables make setup straightforward, and the included DC 5V adapter ensures steady power for the entire system, so you don’t have to worry about unexpected disconnects or lag. A thoughtful addition is the desk controller, a small, unobtrusive button that sits on your desk for easy switching. No more reaching behind monitors or fumbling with cables—just tap the controller, and the system switches instantly.

Switch
Compact switch. Instructions are poor. Externally, it feels robust. Rather temperamental in use. Poor value.

Premium feel compact unit which works well
I like that it has a metal case and small dimension. Only just over 6cm deep which makes it easy to place on the foot of a flat based monitor without sticking out too much. The metal is rough texture which means it doesn’t show finger prints or reflect light as much as it could (bonus). It comes with the following cables/accessories: A physical instruction booklet (5 pages dedicated to English language) Remote switch with cable (approx. 1.5m) 2x USB IN cables (approx. 1m each) A power adaptor (3pin) and cable (approx. 1.2m). You will need to provide your own OUT cables for the displays (OR IN depending on how you wire up), no extras for that are provided. Probably depends on how far your computer is from the screens, but for me it was easiest to use my existing display data cables and plug these into the IN sockets on the KVM. If connecting in this way, you will need additional cables to connect the monitor OUT sockets to your monitors (not provided). It doesn’t appear to have a USB OUT that supports displays (none are marked that way). Unfortunately, I don’t have a display which will take USB in to test it. I have a 2-monitor setup which is one on HDMI and one on DisplayPort. The KVM worked well for being able to switch between my two PCs. Although I’m not pushing it that hard as one is 1080p and the other 1440p. I didn’t notice any difference in quality. The instructions are very limited and are basically just a tech sheet, recommended cable configs and a few FAQs. The remote switch is completely encased in a rubbery plastic material, maybe so you can smash it in frustration? The switch works well enough, though I’m a bit confused by the design. Maybe it is made like this to survive drink spills? The switch has a peel-off film on the bottom which I initially thought would be a sticky pad, but under the film just seems to be more rubbery plastic (not sticky) – so I’m not sure what the film is on there for. You can’t ignore the higher price compared to some HDMI alternatives. I’m just guessing but having HDMI and DisplayPort together must ramp up the production costs significantly as looking around all similar KVMs to this seem to have a price jump over ones that deal only with HDMI. Unitek appears to be a big global company (from what I could find looking them up). Hopefully that means this will last and have better support than rebadged units which plague a lot of tech products these days.

Great KVM for 2 computers and 2 monitors using both HDMI and DP!
I needed a KVM to support two PCs with two monitors with one connected via HDMI and the other via DP. I'm glad I chose this one as it's been working great. The remote switch enables switching between the two PCs (one laptop, the other a desktop) seamlessly. This one also has an extra USB 3.0 out in the back which I needed. There is not many out there that has this. The box is also more stylish than other ones on Amazon. Overall, if you need to connect two computers with two monitors that support both HDMI and DP, I would highly recommend this one.
