great for grad party

I think I would have liked this better if it wasn't so darn hot outside that day! The ice that I put in them melted so quickly. I used these to hold items such as salsa, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream (each in their own bowls) for a taco bar for a graduation party. Very easy to set up. Was difficult when the ice would melt and I would put more in, because I had to drain them out, and this particular one did not have a drain on the side, which I don't think mattered, because they are very flimsy and you couldn't really pick them up to drain them in the grass or anything and I didn't want to drain them in the pavilion I was in. I just bent the side down and poured the water out in a bowl and then dumped the bowl in the grass. A little inconvenient, but it was extremely hot as well.

These worked well for an outdoor BBQ I had in a recent heat wave. After reading other reviews I opted to put my ice in plastic zip lock bags so that when the ice did melt I didn’t have water all over.. I also used a few ice packs (that we use for coolers). I wasn’t concerned about aesthetics, it was more important to me that the food stay cold. When I removed the bowls (potato salad, etc.) after everyone was done eating, the bowls were still cold and the ice was still pretty much in tact. The product functioned as I expected.

Way too small & short for anything. Hard to fill with ice & have any room for any items in or on the ice.

What I love about these - outside of the fact that they are really cute and a fun way to keep outdoor dishes cool - is that when not in use, they take up such a small amount of space. I used them for a party and set bowls of salads in one so they would stay cold. The others were used for a fruit platter and drinks.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are awful. I bought them in April for my daughter's graduation party in June. So I left them in the package until we were ready to use them. I got one out and blew it up, it's so tiny it's a joke. It was about three inches tall, so way too short to hold any meaningful amount of ice to keep cold foods cold when it was 90° out. So I folded the one back up all nice, did not even attempt to use it, and put it back in the bag. I just went to do my return and the window closed back in May, which I should have kept track of when I bought it, but with all the positive reviews, I really didn't think I would end up needing to return them. But they absolutely cannot hold all of the ice and food pictured.

These were great and so easy! They were helpful during our picnic, then easy to rinse off for later use. Others we've purchased in the past took on the stains of the food and leaked.
