Nice quality cover
Love this ironing board cover!! I needed a much larger cover than standard due to a large ironing board and this cover fits the bill perfectly! Pretty in my sewing room, easy to put on and takes a lot of abuse. After machine washing, I took out of the dryer still damp and stretched it back onto the board. It was much easier to put on while still damp. Great purchase and good quality for price.

Nice & cushy, easy to trim
This pad was just thick and "springy" enough to add the right surface to my ironing board. Use this under your regular cover. I had a pretty pad/cover but the padding just wasn't enough. The open texture of the metal board beneath sometimes came through, especially when really PRESSING items. This was easy to cut with good sewing shears. Recommendation: cut a little larger than you think you need. You can always trim off more. I went back and trimmed a little extra at the tip to make it fit well under my board cover.

Great, durable cover, needs a pad under it
Bought a decent ironing board (not at Amazon, elsewhere), it suffered from having a thin, flimsy cover and a thin pad. My mom taught me to press hard with the iron, "smash the wrinkles out", so I do. That caused the pattern of the ironing surface of the board to come through the original thin cover and pad , transferred onto my clothes, giving them small waffle/ fish scale indentations. This is a very reasonably priced cover so I took a gamble. Happy I did. It's made of aluminized cotton which reflects the heat back into the garment and gives it a tough, non-stick surface and it's perforated so the steam escapes easily. It's slightly over-sized for my 49x18 ironing board, so there's plenty of material to wrap around and securely fasten it.The best part is the way that it attaches to the board. It has a strong nylon string stitched into it's perimeter that you cinch down tightly to hold it on. Included is a small plastic piece that grabs the two ends of string allowing you to cinch it even tighter, then the excess string wraps around it. THEN, there's a taught rubber bungee type cord that goes towards the wide end of the board, underneath with hooks on each end that grabs the string on each side (you have to pull on it pretty hard to get it clasped on each side), that further tensions the string and really pulls out all of the wrinkles and holds the cover on tight (see the photos above if my description lost you).I retained the thin polyester mat/ pad that was under the original cover and used that in addition to this cover. This cover has a thin layer of foam bonded to the underside, but by itself, it's not enough of a pad- you need a layer of felt or polyester- i.e., an ironing board pad. You can't use just this cover by itself, it'd be too thin. The instructions included do say that, BTW, so any other reviewers here whining that it's too thin should RTFM (read the freaking manual).I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, because it would be perfect if they included a second rubber bungee for the thinner end of the board as well. It's nice and tight at the wider end with the included bungee, it'd be perfect if it were that tension the whole length. I can get one for a few $$ at a local shop, which I will.Update June 22 2013:I use this cover 5~6 mornings per week to iron work shirts, also to iron regular clothes as well and have for over 1 1/2 years now. It is still going strong!!! No obvious signs of wear. I use heavy spray starch when I iron which builds up, but a spray of warm water and a terry towel wipes it right off. I've worn out the pad liner underneath it so I am back on Amazon to buy a replacement (found a heavy duty cotton pad which should last longer). This cover is still solid and performing. The price of this has gone up $4.00 since I bought it but it is still well worth it. Get it.Update April 2024. I've now bought a few of these, and I've tried others to save money. These are worth the extra money. Others burn and crack, these last. Others are ill-fitting, these fit. Once you have them attached snugly you run a hot iron over the entire surface and it'll shrink slightly to a tight fit. You can't iron a shirt flat if the surface is not flat. The coating is good, etc. This is the one.

Brabantia ironing board fits perfectly
This brabantia ironing board cover is perfect for my ironing board that is in a small cabinet in my laundry room/sewing studio. It fits well and the padding is wonderful.

Doesn’t fit well.
The media could not be loaded. Brabantia is usually a great quality. And I’ve been very happy with my other Brabantia products, but not this product. I needed a new ironing board cover and new foam and felt for my 10 year old Brabantia ironing board C. The cover with the foam and felt comes with the foam and felt SEWN INTO the top of the cover making it bulky and fit poorly so there are wrinkles over the ironing surface of the board. It’s unusable and will need to be returned. I do plan to buy the cover only and replace the foam and felt separately at a fabric store.

Very good ironing board cover!
The padding is sufficient and works well for my needs. I have broken it in since I received the product. I would recommend! It’s alreadybeen stained but that’s because I make and alter clothing for a living. I wanted a natural/white cover because my last one was pink and the dye rubbed off from over steaming linen…

Great cover - confusing installation instructions
I almost returned this item because I couldn’t figure out how to secure it to the ironing board. After visiting the Brabantia site and watching an installation video on YouTube, I tucked the back of the cover into the right space between the board and the iron rest. From there the instructions on the package are correct. Pulling the two strings at the pointed end of the cover acts like a drawstring to secure the whole thing. There is a plastic disk on which you can wrap the extra string and an elastic band for extra security.
